Product Design & Development

Role Expectations:
Design and engineer medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems
Review and/or prepare engineering-quality drawings suitable for construction, project estimates, and permitting documents
Perform site visits to inspect, measure and verify designs
Conduct pole loading analyses and determine appropriate equipment sizing for residential projects
Assist with fielding work if needed
What we re looking for:
Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Drafting is preferred
2+ years of Distribution design experience is required
Previous Duke Energy design experience is required
Demonstrated ability or experience with Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and Pole Foreman
Katapult experience is a plus
Ability to follow prescribed standards and procedures
Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
Must have a valid Driver s License
Report to the Cary, NC, office on a daily basis
Pay Range $60,000-$65,000/annually
