Landscape Designer/Maintenance Salesperson
Werbrich's is seeking an additional team member to join our well-established design/sales team that consists of landscape architects, landscape designers, and support staff.
Werbrich's has two locations in Cleves, Ohio and Loveland, Ohio. Our design/sales team primarily works out of the Loveland Design Center, but we do have Cleves office space available as well. The Design Center is complete with a conference room to display presentations and completed projects along with materials on site for customers to choose from.
What makes Werbrich Custom Outdoor Living different?
As a Werbrich's Design/Sales Rep, you will not be responsible for project management and/or scheduling. We have an experienced team of project managers that handles day-to-day activities on the job site, as well as direct communication with the customer. You will meet with your project manager regularly and stay in touch with your customer, but these interactions are minimal. Concentrating on design and sales tasks will be your main goal.
You will be provided with everything you need to succeed in this business. This includes but is not limited to support staff to help with site measurements and drafting, an office staff to help with billing, and a great group of peers to help you with challenges and opportunities along the way.
The ability to sell more services to customers. We perform the following services in house, without subcontractors: Landscaping, Hardscape Installation, Swimming Pool Installation, Custom Carpentry, Stonemasonry, Landscape Lighting, Tree Services (in-house Arborist), and more.
83% of our work is generated from repeat customers or customer referrals. Incoming leads are prequalified by our office staff before turning them over to our landscape designers. No cold calling is ever needed; in fact, we are very careful about the work we choose so that time is not wasted on less-than-ideal leads.
Day-to-day activities for this position will include:
Secondary qualifying new customers to ensure leads are sound.
Designing, estimating, and selling landscape, landscape lighting, and drainage projects. Some limited hardscape design may be included, but most hardscape design work will be performed by other staff members.
Estimating and selling landscape maintenance and enhancements, mostly for customers whom we have installed projects for.
Meeting with customers and presenting designs and proposals.
Regularly meeting with our Production Division and preparing job notes and other documentation for them to ensure successful implementation of the projects you sell.
Attending weekly sales meetings and other company meetings.
Qualifications
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, Real Time Landscape Architect, Dynoscapes or a similar 2D drafting program.
5+ years of landscape design/sales experience and strong landscape design skills.
5+ years of landscape maintenance sales experience.
Knowledge of midwestern plants.
The desire and ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Extensive landscape maintenance field experience is a huge plus.
A degree in landscape horticulture, landscape architecture, or a related field is a huge plus.

Duties and Responsibilities: • Design services, when required by the customer, to include design calculations, prepare layouts, prepare detailed specifications, and prepare parts lists and estimates.
• Shall design, when the customer requires, an idea or rough sketch of a desired concept into practical items of equipment that can be economically manufactured.
• Provide information on the required parts which includes material composition, dimensions, electrical and safety characteristics, possible procurement sources, and cost information.
• Produce workable designs from rough sketches or verbal descriptions that include, but are not limited to, the design of mechanical components related to high-speed rotating machinery, the design of lightweight structures involving sophisticated manufacturing and assembly procedures, knowledge of the application of aerospace materials typically used in turbine and ramjet engine construction, design of hardware for high pressure and high-temperature application, design of control and measurement instrumentation for process monitoring and control, design of electronic noise shielding and design of high power and high voltage protection, and design of laboratory space.
• Ensure that all tasks are designed for ease of maintenance, assembly, and reliability.
• Assist in providing a deliverable in support of future contractual efforts for fabrication, modification, or installation of research equipment or facilities supporting research efforts.
• Maintain all designs and related engineering information that shall be developed using the appropriate CAD/CAE or Microsoft Office Platform software.
• Complete annual company and customer-required training, as required.
• Complete timesheets daily in an online system according to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
