Write technical reports and supports conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design reviews to ensure designs meet internal and customer requirements. Work with cross-functional Integrated Project Teams (IPT) to develop cost-effective, manufacturable designs that achieve quality standards and business objectives of the organization. Contribute to the IPT through design expertise, identification and management of risks, creation of Failure Modes and Effects Analyses, and design modifications to improve manufacturability. Support operations with ongoing technical support of products in production and in the field. Develop repairs to support the Maintenance Repair & Overhaul of our products. Develop and implement common procedures and standard work across the team to optimize efficiency and quality. Review completed layouts and drawings to ensure clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensioning. Design and review layouts of components, calculates stack-up of detail components, and performs major cost studies consisting of new details and/or marked prints and all supporting documentation, when necessary, to facilitate operations and ensure that established objectives and budgets are achieved.
