You will be responsible for working with domestic and international R&D teams to help bring the cross-functional vision to life. You will be working side by side with our in-house Designers, Engineers, CMI specialists, Marketing and Sales teams to revolutionize the way people clean their homes.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the North American Floorcare projects, including design, User experience, feature development, collaboration, and the establishment of plan of actions with milestone tracking
Responsible for product improvements for NA market, exceeding consumer expectations for Floorcare.
Will complete design and development of new product appearance parts and functional parts as required in support of Industrial Design projects for use in consumer research/insights;
Will work to develop technology and design for intellectual property development for Floorcare.
Responsible for collaboration of structural design and improvement changes of related parts for NA Floorcare products.
Research the field of design
Responsible for identifying key trends and technologies focused on improving user experience
Participate in research on related innovation projects and innovation methods;
Work closely with the North American R&D team and the Chinese Overseas R&D team;
Actively participate in technical project reviews and innovation research projects;
Cross-functional cooperation with various internal and external engineering teams to jointly carry out project work;
Collaborate with project managers and Floorcare R&D team on multi-generational technical plan roadmaps.

The Senior Designer position we are seeking to fill requires 15+ years of experience in the Mechanical Design Drafting profession, with a minimum 2 years specifically assigned Senior/Lead role, to work in the Greater Nashua NH region. As part of the Design & Drafting Community you will utilize the latest CAD Technology and Processes that are derived from forward planning with Industry professionals to define future of CAD capabilities as well as its support of Model Based Engineering via Model Based Definition. In addition, your technical skills will advance while performing your assigned responsibilities on development projects and in supporting our existing product portfolio.
The individual selected for this position will be an experienced Mechanical Designer who is a problem solver with diverse technical capabilities and sound design and geometrical tolerance fundamentals to support engineering, design, analysis, product definition and product build process. The duties assigned to this position, while under the guidance of Program and Engineering Leadership, include the following:
Utilize computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools to design components, systems, portion of systems and modify existing designs to develop or improve production
Support mechanical and electro-mechanical hardware design efforts from conceptual layouts through detailed design
Conduct design trade studies, volume packaging and tolerance analysis
Plan, execute, develop, release and control of product definition data (engineering models and drawings)
Partner with business team members and engineering teams to develop mutually agreeable design specifications and ensure they are met on final product
Work closely with technicians in the generation and assembly of prototype/engineering hardware and test equipment
Create, maintain and update engineering records and files as appropriate

Full-Time Salary Range: $89650 - $152460
