Responsibilities
+ Design mechanical parts and systems in 3D CAD.
+ Use engineering calculations, FEA, and software tools for design support.
+ Generate and verify engineering release documentation.
+ Determine feasibility of equipment modifications or new designs.
+ Analyze specifications and performance requirements for design improvements.
+ Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and fluid power teams for solid modeling and engineering.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in fluid mechanics, casting, weldment, and hydraulics design.
+ Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Solidworks.
+ Strong mechanical design skills and experience in drafting and modeling.
+ Minimum of 3 years in mechanical design within automotive, powersports, industrial equipment, or machine/automated equipment industries.
+ 2-year AAS degree.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Hobbies in fluid power, mechanics, industrial equipment, automotive, or agricultural equipment.
+ Experience with large assemblies, weldment, machine, and routing design is preferred.
+ Willingness to learn and good communication skills.
+ Action-oriented mindset.
+ Application-level experience is prioritized over CAD package experience.
Work Environment
You will be part of a dynamic Engineering Department consisting of 75 people, including 4 Engineers and 3 Designers. The team is currently working off-site, but there is an option to work on-site if preferred. The position is open due to an internal move and offers a chance to support both mechanical and electrical teams. The facility is brand new, providing modern amenities and an innovative work atmosphere.
