With supervision, you ll perform drawing creation on major projects and the complete 3D creation on basic food, dairy, and beverage panel projects. This role will require strong communication and people skills as you work with the design team and customers to create an accurate finished product. You'll also have the opportunity to hone your skills in 2D drafting techniques and 3D modeling through the use of AutoCAD software. Updates current production designs to meet customer needs, in keeping with internal standards. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering strongly preferred; may consider equivalent combination of education and practical experience. Specialized Knowledge and Experience Must be proficient in the use of 3D modeling software; Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred; Must be experienced in the use of ERP or MRP Software (i.e., Syteline); Experience in the development of sheet metal Stamping dies, jigs and fixtures preferred. Minimum 2 years of industrial mechanical engineering experience, with an emphasis in sheet metal design, or the equivalent combination of related education and experience; Other Skills Requires the interpersonal skills to interact and collaborate with wide variety of internal personnel.
