The Prepress Technician position is responsible for processing and preparing files for print across a wide variety of products for our clients. Working closely with members of Vya's client engagement team and times directly with clients, the Prepress Technician will be responsible for playing an active role in troubleshooting, proofing and preparing customer-supplied files for production, and assist with digital press operation, etc. While this is not a graphic design position, there may be times where the Prepress Technician will be tasked with basic layout or file re-creation as needed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Have an understanding of print processes and software, such as imposition, color management and ability to troubleshoot client files Interface with a wide variety of personality types via phone, email and in person as is necessary Ensures quality of final product before release Maintain high level of knowledge and skill with all computer software related to the design and production of print materials Provide support for internal and external clients, print file preparation, and archiving of files.
