This individual will be the first point of contact for Amherst employees experiencing any technical support-related issues including but not limited to; software applications, desktop hardware, IP telephony services, and printing.
Responsibilities:

Interact with Amherst employees over the phone, slack messaging, in person, or via video conferencing to bring resolution to reported issues Diagnose and research complex issues involving multiple networked systems Provide excellent customer service in demanding situations Escalate issues to systems & network engineering or security as appropriate Manage hardware and software inventory and accurately forecast equipment needs and acquire necessary components to ensure consistent delivery of service to employees Install and configure hardware and software on desktop computers and laptops

Under close supervision performs first line technical support to computer customers with questions regarding account administration, distribution of software and documentation, enterprise applications, system, and network status.

May answer simple technical or functional questions and perform minor troubleshooting regarding use and identification of personal computer hardware and software related to network communications.

SAGE is looking for a talented and dedicated individual to perform day-to-day activities in support of desktop computer systems, software and peripherals, including equipment installation, operation, and problem resolution.Also responsible for administration and operation of web-based resources, assisting with onboarding processes, assisting with asset management, and related administrative tasks.Position will be primarily onsite, with the ability to work from home on occasion.
Roles and Responsibilities
Assists in providing Help Desk services to users, including call ticket processing, service dispatch, and PC troubleshooting for local and remote users.
