Damian Scokin is a Board Member at Ultrapetrol (Bahamas) Limited, CEO at Despegar.com, and Director at Despegar.com and is based in Argentina. Alberto López Gaffney comes to Despegar with over two decades of experience in finance and operations. Prior to joining Despegar, he was Chief Financial Officer of TGLT, a leading real estate company in Argentina. From 2012 through 2017, he was employed at Itaú BBA as Managing Director & Head of Investment Banking for LatAm ex-Brazil. Prior to that, Mr. López Gaffney worked between 1999 and 2012 with Morgan Stanley, in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group and later as Managing Director & Head of Southern Cone. He began his business career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey in 1996. Mr. López Gaffney has an MBA from Harvard University and a Masters in Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Católica Argentina.

Gonzalo García Estebarena has served as our Commercial Director, overseeing Air and Packages, Hotels, and Other Travel Products, since September 2017. Prior to joining us, he held several positions at LATAM Airlines Group from 2011 to 2017, including Vice President of International Revenue Management and Global Head of Sales. Prior to that, Mr. García Estebarena was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company from 2003 to 2011. Mr. García Estebarena received a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires (ITBA) and a Masters in Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Carlos Alvarez is a CTO at Despegar.com and is based in Argentina. He has worked as Senior Developer and Consultant at IECISA, SRE Manager / cloud architecture manager at Despegar.com, and Developer at Case Sytems. Carlos attended Universidad de Buenos Aires between 1996 and 2004.
