YOUR LIFE AS A CAR DETAILING SPECIALIST / ASSISTANT AUTO PAINTER

This detailer job has shifts at our auto body shop during our normal business hours of Monday - Thursday from 8:30 AM - 7:30 PM, Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM .

As a Car Detailing Specialist / Assistant Auto Painter, you spend each day around vehicles of all makes and models-including some very cool vintage automobiles! Our professional paint technicians rely on your assistance to prep vehicles for painting. You're attentive to detail as you carefully mask surfaces and mix paint as directed. As a proactive team player, you're happy to lend a hand when a painter needs your help!

Our team can count on you to provide thorough automotive cleaning and detailing for our customers. You treat each automobile with care as you vacuum interiors and wash exteriors. You also enjoy sitting behind the wheel of different vehicles as you perform porter duties and park them on our lot. You love seeing the before-and-after transformation of automobile restorations, and you're proud of the part you play on our team !

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Detail Technician Primary Responsibilities:

* Buff and wax trucks and trailers in an assigned work area using various cleaning chemicals
* Work in all weather conditions to accomplish tasks
* Use industry standard safety equipment
* Strip equipment decals and prepare equipment for auction

Detail Technician Minimum Qualifications:

* Driver's license
* Familiarity with towing trailers

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Job Summary

Tenvoorde Ford is looking for full-time and part-time Automotive detailers. We are looking for someone that is energetic, hard working and flourishes in a high pace envoroment. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and one year experience would be preferred.

Job Duties

• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors in compliance with all company standards and client requests
• Operate buffers, hoses, vacuums, and other equipment to meet service expectations
• Use cleaning, protective, and restorative agents to maintain and enhance the appearance of vehicles
• Move, park and deliver vehicles to correct locations
• Other duties assigned by management
