A large steel fabrication facility in Dothan is adding a Design Detailer to their team. This position is responsible for reviewing detailed drawings provided by architects and structural engineers to include 3D Models, fabrication and erection drawings. Work hours are Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5pm and Friday 7:30am-4pm. Hourly pay for this role is between $22-24 based on experience. Some overnight travel will be required.Job Duties: Interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure accuracy Work closely with project managers, fabricators, welding team and contractors to create changes, RFI's and provide feedback for revisions Maintain organized files and documentation for all active and completed projects Ensure compliance with project specifications along with industry standards and safety regulations Assist with the estimation process and participate in design improvement process Requirements: Must have a minimum of 3 years experience as a steel detailing designer or in a related drafting or design role Must be proficient in AutoCad with a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and design Skilled in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings Should be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
