Pay Range: $17-$18 hourly
Starting Pay: $17/hr
At 3 Months: $17.25/hr
At 6 Months: $17.50/hr
At 9 Months: $17.75/hr
At 12 Months: $18/hr
In your first year, you can progress from $17hr to $18hr through our performance-based Careers Not Jobs program, which provides four merit opportunities annually. As part of this program, eligible team members can enjoy an additional $0.25 increase in their pay every 90 days.
We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated team players to:
Ensure each vehicle is inspected for mechanical, drivability or cosmetic concerns
Wash and vacuum all inventory on a regular basis
Complete multi-point inspection on arriving inventory to include fuel level, safety features, drivability test and proper display of all company and state disclosures
Maintain positive relationships with coworkers and external vendors
Interact and communicate with team members and management across all lines of the business.
Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
General qualifications and requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable
Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license
Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past 3 years
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.
Must be able to carry and transport up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
Requires standing for an extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
Requires working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment.
Requires frequent driving and some typing.
Must adhere to regular and predictable attendance.

Responsibilities:
Complete all necessary steps to thoroughly clean customer vehicles to a high standard based on wash package selected.
Enthusiastically greet customers, assist customers into and out of vehicles, provide clear direction to customers, alert management when cleaning of vehicle is complete.
Drive vehicles onto and off conveyor, program wash type and send vehicle; shut off conveyor if obstructions are in the way of moving vehicles in the tunnel; watch traffic flow and be aware of surroundings.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized environment year-round to ensure a positive visit for every customer including but not limited to: picking up trash, sweeping and hosing areas visible to customers, pulling weeds, shoveling snow and salting customer areas.
Wash and dry towels and carry buckets of towels to stations. Fill and stock cleaning supplies. Dig car wash trench, sweep and hose back rooms / storage rooms as needed. Clean wash equipment, windows, doors, and walls; empty trash cans and vacuum canisters.
Follow Waterway policies, procedures, guidance, and instructions, including and especially those related to safety.
Various other functions as identified and directed by management.
Physical Requirements:
Environmental - will work outdoors year-round, and be exposed to wide temperature variations, sunshine, wet weather (rain, snow), humidity, wet surfaces, gasoline and exhaust fumes, machinery and moving parts, and brief exposure to car wash tunnel noise.

* Clean doorjambs, sills, interior panels, wheels, tires, hub caps/wheel covers, wheel wells, moldings, bumpers, head- and taillights, spare tire, exterior panels, trunk, hood, and interior and exterior windows. Detail vehicles by cleaning and dressing trim, molding, weather stripping, instrument panel, steering wheel, dash molding, etc. with detail brushes.
* Buff vehicles by applying dressing to engine compartment, wheels, wheel wells and tires, vinyl tops, etc. Apply compound, cleaner and/or polish to vehicles interior, and buff out using a rotary buffer (or by hand as necessary). Wax and buff exterior and all painted surfaces of vehicles using a hand-type buffer.

Qualifications/Requirements - Master Technician:
At least 3 years of Mercedes-Benz Service Technician experience strongly preferred

Responsibility Must perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.

Contacts Airframe Team Leader and Team Leaders of other departments assigned to multiple aircraft.
Program Manager, Department Managers, Director of Maintenance and General Manager.
Customers or outside vendors.
Physical Requirements Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending, and squatting or sitting.
Routing or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.
Must have agile hands and fingers.
Mental Requirements Ability to perform detail-oriented hands-on work.
Must have great patience to complete work.
Ability to work with others in a professional manner.
Supervision Will work under the supervision of the Supervisor.
Working Conditions The work will be accomplished in both a hangar environment and office environment.
Varied positions in and around the aircraft.
Equipment Used Dual-action sanders provided by West Star.
Hand sanding tools provided by West Star.
Any other specialized equipment required to perform job will be provided by West Star.
