Join a growing Virtual Construction team as a BIM Detailer II supporting electrical design and coordination on commercial projects. You'll collaborate with BIM Coordinators, Project Managers, and Field Leads to create accurate 2D and 3D models that drive efficiency, quality, and prefabrication success.
What You'll Do
Develop 3D models and 2D drawings in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
Coordinate with field teams and project managers to ensure accurate designs.
Produce take-offs, RFI drawings, and layouts using Trimble tools.
Maintain model accuracy, compliance with BIM standards, and document control.
Collaborate across disciplines - electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural.
What You'll Need
2-4 years of experience with BIM/3D modeling (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
2+ years in electrical construction or related field.
Strong understanding of electrical symbols, terminology, and design coordination.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
Manage newly awarded project information through Smartsheets and the company's software (Comsense) related documents folder.
Proactively contact customers through email and phone to obtain project information
Key Construction dates, contact information, etc. and insert all relevant information currently available
Identify and organize missing documents (plans, specs, quotes)
Detail newly awarded projects including:
Review of contract documents including plans and specifications
Accurately detail opening information, review costs and quotations, note scope gaps, verify code requirements, offer solutions to meet customer needs.
Review opening handing, drawing door and frame elevations, lite kit sizing, reviewing doors/frames/hardware specifications.
Prepare shop drawing, schedules and submittals using approved manufacturer's catalogs
Review schedules and returned submittals for accuracy and completeness of contract & scope.
Collaborate with contractor, architect and project managers to ensure critical needs are met related to schedules, budget, changes & overall positive customer experience
Preferred Experience
Experience reading plans & specifications.
Experience using industry specific Detailing software (Comsense or Pro-tech)

Maintain a neat and orderly production and paint areas by sweeping, removal of trash and discarded parts as well as other actions required to maintain the appearance of the production and paint areas
Maintain other areas of the collision center such as the offices, storage areas and around the outside of the collision center
Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
Save and tag all warranty parts for storage
