ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The duties of the Infection Preventionist include, but are not limited to:

• Improves the baseline infection control capacity in long-term care facilities (LTCF), including skilled nursing facilities (SNF) and assisted living facilities, by providing greater education to SNF administrators and front line staff
• Performs on-site and virtual infection prevention consultations to safely house and isolate infected and exposed residents of LTCFs and other congregate settings
• Increases Infection Prevention and Control assessment capacity onsite
• Performs preparedness assessment to ensure interventions are in place to protect high-risk populations
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
• A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in epidemiology or its equivalent -OR-A Doctoral degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in epidemiology or its equivalent -OR-A Bachelor's degree in nursing or closely related health field from an accredited program
• Two years of experience within the last five years as an infection preventionist in a healthcare setting
Desirable Qualifications
• A Certificate of Infection Control (CIC) from the Association of Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC)
Certificates/Licenses/Clearances

The Materials Science Division at Argonne National Laboratory has an open position of postdoctoral appointee.

The research project aims at very large size bulk perovskite crystal growth high performance nuclear radiation detector applications. The project involves a considerable amount of experimental work with a variety of synthetic techniques such as high temperature solid state reaction, flux reaction, solution reaction, and purification and crystal growth using zone refining, Bridgman techniques, etc. The work will also include a variety of physical measurements such as electrical resistivity, X-ray and gamma-ray spectroscopy, and related techniques.

The candidate is expected to independently conduct research in a highly interdisciplinary environment of chemists, physicists, and materials scientists.
**Position Requirements**

+ Ph.D. in chemistry, materials science, physics, nuclear engineering or equivalent

+ Primary major in synthesis, crystal growth, and with characterization of semiconductor materials (chalcogenides and/or halides) for basic physical properties

Preferred experiences:

+ Large scale bulk crystal growth using Bridgman method is preferred

+ Fabrication of radiation detectors (scintillators or semiconductors)

Position Function/Nature of Work:

The Detective is responsible for conducting preliminary and follow-up criminal investigations and analyzing information and evidence to make an arrest.


If during the follow-up investigation of a reported offense, the Detective discovers or has reported to them an additional offense, it shall be the Detective's responsibility to ensure that an original offense report is completed on that offense.


This position involves an element of personal danger.


Special assignments are received from the Chief of Police or designee and are carried out in accordance with established law enforcement procedures and guidelines.
