Under the general supervision of the Medical Director of Crisis Services, the Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants) will perform clinical duties and activities as directed.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct clinical/patient care duties and responsibilities as required, including psychiatric evaluation, re-evaluation, disposition, coordination of medical services with nurse on duty, medication orders/prescribing, monitoring patients, etc.
Incorporates Evidenced Based Best Practice Standards into service delivery.
Provides care compliant with licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
Determines medical necessity.
Researches medical topics such as psychotropic medication, psychiatric evaluation, coordination of care, etc.
Supervises coordination of care activities.
Directs discharge planning.
Completes clinical documentation as required.
Provides supervision and direction to the mobile crisis team.
Reviews Eligibility assessments for members contacting the Crisis Care Center.
Completes required trainings.
Teaches NP/PA students and other Advanced Practice Providers, as appropriate.
Participates in clinical and administrative meetings.
Participates in Quality Assurance reviews.
Collaborates and discusses cases with psychiatrist.
Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to continuously improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes, and medical care.
Handles work responsibilities and challenges with honest and ethical behavior.
Ensures appropriate responses to all medical emergencies.
Provides clinical coverage and consultation on any urgent clinical issue that may arise between the time that members contact the Crisis Care Center and/or Mobile Crisis Teams and until they are seen by our Clinically Responsible Service Providers.
Attends shift handover meetings.
Understands and adheres to DWIHN compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
Maintains patient confidentiality per federal guidelines and DWIHN policy and procedures.
Identifies and timely reports any health and safety risks, accidents, incidents, injuries, and property damage at the workplace.
Performs any additional duties as assigned by the Medical Director.

REQUIRED LICENSES:
A Valid State of Michigan clinical licensure.

Responsible for overseeing and/or maintaining the physical appearance and condition of all NSCC buildings, both owned and leased, ensuring they are clean, safe, and visually appealing. The Manager also supervises the Property Management staff who handle physical maintenance, repairs, and improvements at all NSCC locations, and initiates and manages the relationships with external contractors (e.g., electrical, plumbing, HVAC, snow removal, landscaping, janitorial, structural improvements, etc.) and landlords.
Essential Functions:
Leads the planning and execution of office moves, renovations, and space upgrades.
Serves as a collaborative partner with internal teams to meet space and facility needs; demonstrates empathy, neutrality, and professionalism in handling stakeholder concerns.
Manages space planning using AutoCAD, including creating accurate layouts and identifying construction needs. Develops and maintains floor plans and layouts using AutoCAD.

Under the general supervision of the Crisis Care Center - Site Director, the Crisis Care Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing general supervision and monitoring for the Crisis Care Center. This position will also provide clinical support for clients of the Crisis Care Center.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serves as the onsite immediate supervisor for team members through role modeling, coaching, and assisting the unit.
Oversees daily operations.
Creates a healthy partnership with stakeholders.
Monitors and oversees workflows at the DWIHN Crisis Care Center.
Monitors and oversees guest visits at the DWIHN Crisis Care Center.
Provides support and development to staff by modeling position functions for the team.
Ensures that services and linkage are provided for ongoing recovery and treatment services.
Serves as the mental health professional for individuals until they are enrolled in services at other community agencies.
Determines a provisional diagnosis, obtains documentation of medical necessity, and submits authorizations for service.
Conducts thorough clinical assessments and treatment plans for services.
Assesses the individual's needs and provides appropriate support and referrals.
Provides short-and long-term recovery-oriented therapeutic counseling and education on a group or individual basis.
Provides family education and family counseling.
Completes clinical documentation as required.
Facilitates recovery education courses.
Conducts thorough clinical assessments and treatment plans for services.
Provides crisis management services and responds to urgent/emergent participant needs.
Implements the transition/discharge care plan in partnership with each participant.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AS THE MEDICAL DIRECTOR:
Leads and coordinates the development and implementation of integrated, strategic medical and clinic plans, policies, and procedures for the Clinics that effectively communicate and support the mission, vision, and achievement of overall business operations and clinical outcome objectives.
Provides overall leadership and guidance to the Clinic department by overseeing prescribers, nursing, and other staff to ensure the efficient delivery of medical, nursing, and support services.
Provides clinical supervision to staff, including physicians and advanced practice providers.
