Recruits participants for the classes.
Actively engages participants in the classes utilizing knowledge of cultural differences to provide an environment where people feel comfortable to share and ask questions.
Collects and completes participant data obtained from classes and submits weekly records to the Program Coordinator II.
Receives feedback from the Service Care Coordinator regarding CDSMP program requirements and modifies presentation delivery accordingly.
Consults with and provides feedback to Service Care Coordinator and Program Coordinator II regarding the classes and participant feedback.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Six months' experience as a volunteer, Promotor, health educator, or a community resource information provider.
Computer skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Basic knowledge and experience with ZOOM video communications platform.
Six months' experience facilitating an educational class and/or leading group discussions is preferred.
Bilingual preferred. Language needs are based on demographics of the area. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate at level 10 on the language proficiency scale to receive bilingual differential pay.
Ability to successfully complete Tomando Control de su Salud or CDSMP leader training.

Position overview
The Learning & Development Specialist supports training and professional development programming for employees across the City. Working closely with the Learning & Development Analyst (and in partnership with the L&D Manager), this role helps maintain and administer the City's LMS, supports instructional design and course management, coordinates training logistics and communications, and assists with tracking and reporting on required trainings and certifications.
This role is not required to facilitate trainings, but facilitation skills are a plus. Over time, the Specialist is expected to work with increasing independence and take ownership of key processes and program logistics.
What you'll be doing
Day-to-day work will include a mix of LMS support, training/event coordination, and tracking/reporting work. Examples include:
LMS administration & course support
* Help maintain and manage NEOGOV Learn, including day-to-day system administration tasks

What you'll need to succeed

**JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:**
To effectively perform the SLEDC duties and responsibilities, assigned personnel are to have the following verifiable experience, qualifications, and abilities. The SLEDC must:
+ Have earned at least a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, police administration, emergency management, public administration, or related field from an U.S. Department of Education accredited postsecondary educational institution, college, or university.
+ Graduate work or a graduate degree is preferred.
+ Have at least 15 years of experience in a U.S. law enforcement agency involving a position with authority to conduct arrests, investigations, and provide testimony in judicial proceedings.
+ Have at least 10 years of experience in a supervisory capacity within a U.S. law enforcement agency with supervision of personnel performing law enforcement and investigative functions.

Position Summary
The Global Studies Institute seeks a Global Research Development Coordinator (GRDC) to expand globally focused external funding through development of competitive external proposals for grants and other external funding sources in partnership with UO faculty, administrators, and staff. This position will require flexibility, adaptability, and responsiveness with a strong customer service focus to engage in a variety of duties to provide direct support to faculty, and staff as they pursue external funding to support globally oriented research activities. Funders may include US federal agencies (e.g., USAID, State Department, Department of Education), multinational funders, state agencies, and other external funding sources to support faculty from a wide range of disciplines.
The GRDC will also research possible funding streams and opportunities in line with the Division of Global Engagement priorities. This position will also provide direct grant administrative support and management for pre- and post-award.
The successful candidate will have a strong customer service focus, be able to work independently and as part of a team to meet shared and individual goals, and demonstrate the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and responsive. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds and will maintain the highest ethical standards.
The GRDC will have ordevelop a comprehensive knowledge of University of Oregon administration policies and practices for grants and other external funding sources, as well as the ability to independently interpret and communicate policies from funding entities. This position will interact regularly with external constituents, administrative colleagues, faculty, students, and funders in the public and private sector.
The GRDC will report to the Director Global Studies and work with staff in the Division of Global Engagement and across campus.

Position Qualifications:

General Description
The Training Specialist supports the implementation of logistical and organizational activities for the Oregon Training Institute's (OTI), a program of Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO), workforce development programs. This position assists the Workforce Development Manager by coordinating training needs and outcomes, which may include data collection and entry, planning and organizing events, developing timelines and task assignments, tracking participants and program activities, researching and securing venues, communicating with stakeholders, and overseeing the distribution of promotional materials. This position also requires regular in-state travel, most often to Central and Southern Oregon, with an anticipated travel commitment of approximately 50-75 percent of work time to support trainings, events, and program activities across the region.
Essential Duties
Training Program Coordination
Coordinate instruction in classroom and field settings for workforce development projects.
Assist in coordinating trainings and information sessions with Oregon Energy Coordinators and Affiliates (OECA), including individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, and computer-based training.
Coordinate and provide event management for workforce development projects.
Secure trainers, locations, and facilities to conduct trainings and meetings.
Program Maintenance
Maintain tracking systems to document training revisions, attendance, and participant progress.
Coordinate maintenance of asset management and inventory tracking systems.
Participate in annual Internal Reviews of safety procedures, curriculum, organizational goals, and documentation needs assessments.
Outreach
Participate in planning and represent CAPO/OTI at trade shows, seminars, conferences, and speaking engagements as requested by the Workforce Development Manager.
Work closely with the Workforce Development Manager to ensure consistent public relations and marketing messaging.
Data Management
Manage confidential demographic information and testing data.
Reporting
Compile data and analyze past and current year project requirements and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
Administrative experience.

Website and Learning Management System (LMS) administration experience.
Knowledge of invoicing processes and generally accepted accounting principles.
