Required Qualifications: * Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related field, with an official diploma at the time of employment from an accredited institution. * College or University-level teaching experience, in-person and/or online, in areas such as materials characterization, mechanical behavior of materials, non-destructive evaluation, fundamentals of MEMS fabrication, composite materials, corrosion, thin film technology, failure analysis and phase transformations, nanomaterials and nanotechnology. * Evidence of continuing research in materials engineering (in the areas listed above), for example, presentations at conferences, publications of peer-reviewed articles, and development of research proposals for external funding. * Experience involving the operation of materials characterization equipment and/or the operation and maintenance of materials laboratory equipment, for example, FESEM/SEM, EDAX/EBSD, EDS, XRD, AFM, and microscopy. * Experience advising, supervising, mentoring, and/or working effectively with undergraduate and graduate students.
