Located on a beautiful 10-acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona's 24-hour RTC and Therapeutic School, has the capacity to serve 48 children. The campus is a safe and supportive environment that supports youth, ages 5 to 17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance abuse challenges. Our on-site day school is year-round with 225 instructional/grading/in-service days, 35 preset holiday break days, 19 additional float days, and accumulated sick time ( number of days are subject to change with school year ). We work with students on social/communication skills, coping mechanisms, verbal/physical aggression, and emotional/behavioral challenges that impact overall functioning. As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop lesson plans and proficiently deliver curriculum using available digital teaching methods and educational models that are aligned with state standards. Our classroom sizes range from 8-12 students with a 6:1 student-to-staff ratio, including 1-2 direct care professional staff members in the classroom for additional support. Teachers assess student performance objectives on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required. Our Teachers have immediate access to school support staff, teaching materials and supplies, and a state of the art database with tracking capabilities to help with data accumulation. Teachers are required to align content within the Arizona State Standards and Common Core Standards, as well as collaborate with teaching colleagues to plan, facilitate, and teach highly effective literacy instruction.     Devereux Arizona's Community Based Services program provides in-home remedial intervention for at-risk youth and families identifying youth and family strengths and needs to enhance the Child and Family Team (CFT) planning process. We are looking for talented individuals who have experience working in Behavioral Health, with families and at-risk youth, to be a positive role model and have an impact on our families! Reporting to the Program Manager, the Family Support Coordinator (Crisis Support Coordinator) works one-to-one with youth between the ages of 2-17, in a natural setting (home, school, group home, foster care, or kinship placement) to address and help stabilize behaviors and avoid disruption. With a caseload of 3-5 individuals, the Crisis Support Coordinator assists with behavior reduction and closely works with the Child/Family Team to identify the supports needed to ensure stabilization. Other job duties include intakes, case management, and chart maintenance/documentation with Devereux provided equipment (phone and laptop). Devereux will provide mileage reimbursement and work schedules based on the individual's availbility/needs.
