As VP & Chief Technical Strategist, I report directly to the CEO and I am responsible for the establishment of the company’s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company’s technology-based initiatives both internally and with our clients. I act as the company’s top technology executive, playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth. I lead the execution of technology strategy for technology programs, partnerships, and external relationships. I provide oversight, guidance, and direction to all of DHA’s technology teams and provide oversight to any research and development. I am responsible for providing observable leadership for TMC within the technology community. I am responsible for anticipating and reacting to key technology changes to ensure the safeguarding of company leadership in the competitive landscape. I am responsible for the establishment of technical methodologies, processes, and standards within the organization. I have over 30 years of Executive Management, Program Direction, and Information Technology experience spanning multiple areas of specialization. I have been responsible for major multi-million dollar projects in both commercial and government settings. Areas of responsibility have included vision development, domain analysis, requirements development, product design, implementation, testing of specific applications, program P & L, business development, establishment of partnerships, and program staffing. I have numerous technical publications and have been an invited speaker on various applied technical topics both to national and international groups.I have also acted as a professor/lecturer in computer science and software engineering both at the MS and BS levels since 1996 at West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Virginia University. Additionally I have taught specialized classes at Carnegie Mellon University.

As a Strategy-driven Leader with a strong and consistent track record of success in information assurance strategy direction and implementation, I understand the importance of results. Being an astute Certified Chief Information Security Officer with the ability to also drive effective incident response, as well as to train employees to perform at a high level, I revel in the challenges of accomplishing goals where technical issues threaten to negatively impact the organization’s bottom line. I am a passionate contributor with a laser-focus on exceeding organization and user expectations, with a special focus on virtualization.

During my professional career, I have consistently provided secure database and cloud environments by creating and enforcing solid practices and policies. As a leader, I have managed employees while earning a reputation as a strong, empowering leader. A few of my recent successes include:

►Convene Security Incident Response Team as appropriate, serving as primary control point during significant information security incidents; provide effective leadership for breach response/ remedial actions and notification actions.

►Coordinate and track all IT- and security-related audits, including scope of audits, timelines, auditing agencies, and outcomes; provide a perspective that continually puts the organization in its best light; developed strategy for dealing with increasing number of audits, compliance checks, and external assessment processes for internal/external auditors.

►Develop, implement, and administer technical security standards, as well as a suite of security services and tools for addressing and mitigating security risk.

►Create education and awareness programs and advise operating units at all levels on security issues, best practices, and vulnerabilities.

►Supervised teams of up to 100-plus staff members.
