Here are the daily responsibilities of an OperationsSupervisor:
Responsibility for daily and overall operations of the aircraft maintenance department, to include: safety, schedules, personnel and quality.
Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and general housekeeping; perform safety/security audits and address discrepancies.
Responsible for coordinating unscheduled aircraft maintenance and work performed on site or at another fixed location.
Supervise the performance of maintenance and ensure work is performed in accordance with Repair Station Manual, Quality Manual, Site Operating Procedures and FARs.
Perform supervisory responsibilities for assigned employees and area(s), which include but not limited to:
Time keeping - ensure employee hours are accurate, track attendance, approve timecards, time off requests
Performance management
Identify opportunities for professional development and training
Support and make personnel decisions around hiring, disciplinary issues, salary adjustments
Administer team related policies & procedures.
May be required to support UMT, including, for example, coordination of tooling and parts, scheduling personnel, and aircraft return-to-service.
Coordinate technical shop floor issues, such as: engineering, specialized tooling requirements, etc.
Facilitate meetings with all departments & shops.
Identify and communicate best practices & champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Customer service mindset and approach with communications (verbal & written) and when needing to defuse situations with internal and external customers.
Here is what is required to succeed:
Minimum of 3 years experience performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance.
Minimum of 2 years leadership / supervisory / lead experience - preferably within aircraft maintenance.
Possess an A&P license or otherwise appropriately certificated under FAR part 65.
Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, for example: part 91, 121, 135, and 145
Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance inspection programs for jet aircraft
Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations as they apply to workplace, safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations.
You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting.
Intermediate computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-based applications used to manage the maintenance work.

YOUR ROLE

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
Provide responsible supervision and control for all departmental activities. Assist in the retention and training efforts of staff and of customers. Conduct meetings with staff to assess group's overall status, discuss ideas for improvement and inform staff of new developments. Address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies.
Oversee performance statistics. Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy. Examine various documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to and from foreign destinations. Communicate with customs officials as appropriate to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays.
Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standard for customs clearance operations as dictated and allowed by applicable regulations. Ensure all policies and procedures are consistently administered.
Identify areas of concern in clients' import and export processes through monitoring of team performance against company and client standards, regular audit of shipment documents and accounting, and periodic client reviews.
Communicate with operations manager regarding progress and problems or issues. Maintain flexible work schedule include outside normal business hours and after hours on call rotation.

General Purpose

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Operations Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring seamless workflow across all departments, and driving efficiency and productivity. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage resources, optimize processes, and lead a team to achieve operational excellence. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facility operates within budgetary constraints while maintaining high standards for safety, compliance, and quality. Additionally, this role focuses on fostering a collaborative work environment, building strong relationships with internal teams, and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvements to meet and exceed organizational goals.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that supervisory personnel effectively schedule labor to provide efficient and responsive support for our purchasing and sales departments.
Manage the facility profit and loss statement and ensure attainment of budget goals.
Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards to evaluate the company's efficiency and effectiveness; identify opportunities for improvement.
Forecast and prepare the operating budget using historical data and industry benchmarks.
Identify and implement short- and long-term strategic needs for the organization.
Oversee overall business planning, including disaster planning, work stoppages, and risk management.
Control operating expenses and shrinkage; investigate discrepancies and deviations to ensure the operating budget is achieved.
Enhance customer service and satisfaction through policy and procedural improvements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment for all facility employees.
Develop and administer safety incentive programs to motivate employees.
Manage workers' compensation costs through proactive case management and employee safety training.
Supervise management direct reports and employees, demonstrating leadership, initiative, and integrity to cultivate and develop staff.
Promote the training and development of staff with a focus on improvement and advancement.
Create a team-oriented atmosphere where employees and management work toward common goals.
Chair roundtable discussions to educate employees, resolve conflicts, foster communication, and improve morale.
Demonstrate strong decision-making skills, reasoning, and judgment to identify, correct, and prevent operational and labor-related issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong understanding of DOT regulations, logistics rules, and operations.
Thorough knowledge of practices, theories, and policies related to business and finance.
Superior verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent managerial and diplomatic abilities.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Preferred).
5+ years of extensive warehouse operations management experience.
Previous food service experience preferred.
CDL A license a plus but not required.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field required
Experience
8+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition and/or Human Resources
3+ years of leadership experience managing recruiters or TA professionals
Strong preference for experience leading clinical recruitment teams
Experience working in fast-paced, high-volume or complex hiring environments
Ability to work non-traditional hours, including occasional nights and weekends
On-call availability as business needs require
Ability to travel up to 20%
