The primary functions and role of this position include the following:
Provides top-notch customer service, both to patients and internally to the ambulatory interdisciplinary team by greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming attitude and behavior.Performs timely and accurate registration, co-pay collection, insurance verification, sign-in/check-in functions and notification of patient arrivals.Remains available to answer/screen telephone calls and will re-route patients for needed care.Guides and supports patients and their families, as needed through their needed care and within the facility.Schedules and coordinates appointments as necessary and obtains relevant diagnostic test results prior to patient's appointment.Completes required chart documentation in the EMR system, and will help with pre-authorizations as appropriate.
Requirements/Qualifications
Candidates should have:
* Minimum of 3 years working in a medical clinic or ambulatory setting
* High school diploma or GED is required
* An active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) capability is preferred
* Associates or Bachelor's degree in business or related field is strongly preferred
* Experience working with patients experiencing active behavioral health and/or addiction related symptoms is preferred.
This position will be cross trained throughout the clinic to support traditional CMA duties, but will primarily be an administrative/operational support role. Must be flexible to adjust to the needs of a fast-paced environment, demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and display excellent oral/written communication skills.

Type of Position: Full-Time Apply Now The Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health & Psychiatry program provides a therapeutic environment through individualized treatment. The Registered Nurse promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients and families, and supervising assigned team members as necessary.
Major Duties and Essential Functions:
* Educating patients and their family members
* Documenting all treatments, medications, and other patient care aspects in medical records
* Responding to emergency psychiatric situations
* Conducting screenings and evaluations and monitoring patients
* Administering medications and monitoring responses to medication
* Following the Doctor's orders and treatment plans
* Communicating & collaborating with other medical professionals and care team members
Requirements/Qualifications
* Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
* Licensed by the Board of Nurse Examiners for The District of Columbia.
* One year Adult Psych, and/or Chemical Dependency nursing experience preferred.
* Psychiatric mental health certification a plus.
* Articulate verbal communication and strong written skills.
* Proficient computer skills required; Cerner Medconnect experience preferred.
* American Heart Association BLS certification.
Salary
$89,612 to $109,526
salary is based on experience

**Responsibilities**
- Complete evaluations, assessments, and treatments in accordance with policy and the individualized physical therapy care plan
- Complete all documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow established policies and procedures as related to the scope of practice
- Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care showing initiative and sound judgment
- Complete all required orientations, in-services, and trainings successfully and in a timely manner
- Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor
**LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Valid professional license in the state of practice
- Graduate of CAPTE accredited school. If foreign-trained, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to a Physical Therapist entry level education in the U.S. by a credential's evaluation organization approved by the APTA
