SUMMARY:

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* Provide technical direction and support to survey crews.

* Utilize survey instruments in conjunction with Dibble survey procedures.
* Develop and maintain survey data.
* Perform and/or check survey computations as required in the performance of duties.
* Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of land surveys of all types.
* Ensure proper maintenance of all survey/company equipment, including fleet vehicles.
* Communicate effectively with both the customer and survey team.
* Preparation of scope of work, fee proposals and schedules.
* Document review and preparation for survey-related projects.
* Continuous staff development through training and work assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys.
* Knowledge of conventional and geodetic operations and calculations.

Working Conditions for this role:
* This role requires regular evening and weekend work, possible shift or on-call work, and extended periods working outdoors in all weather conditions.
* This position requires driving to the job site and is required to stand for extended periods of time. Some heavy lifting of more than 25 lbs. may be required. Must possess physical conditioning for strenuous walking activities in typical Colorado temperatures that routinely range from well below freezing to 10 degrees F.

COMPENSATION: $98,000 to $115,000 per year base pay depending on level of skills and experience.

Responsibilities/Job Purpose:
The CAD Technician is a developmental position working under minimal supervision to support a project team by drafting detailed drawings, conducting research and preparing final documents for various projects. Typical Duties:
Serve as a resource to the design staff on matters concerning drafting practices and procedures.
Coordinate activities of individuals in CAD Technician I positions.
Enter, access, retrieve, analyze and revise data as directed based on Atwell standard procedures. Manage the responsibilities incorporated with preliminary and final drawings, excel spreadsheets, and research documents.
Utilize AutoCAD and related engineering software packages to complete assignments such as preparing topographic surveys, preliminary site layout plans, and preliminary concept plans on time and within prescribed standards, as outlined in the Atwell Product Quality Manual and CAD Standards Manual.
Organize base drawing files utilizing AutoCAD and related software packages such as the latest in-house version of AutoCAD, Land Development Desktop, and Civil 3-D.
Produce detailed and finished drawings by making revisions from senior project team member's comments and plans.
Produce various drawings specific to the project. Examples include soil erosion plans, site layout, grading, storm sewer, water, sanitary sewer plans, construction layout, and construction staking.
Prepare construction documents for submittal to clients, municipalities, agencies, and others as directed. This includes stamping with the appropriate seal as approved by the Project Manager and Obtain appropriate signature.
Communicate with team members, Project Manager and Team Leader on workload status in order to meet designated chargeability goals.
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
3 plus years of experience in private land development
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must have working knowledge and understanding of basic geometry and trigonometry
Basic knowledge of land survey and civil engineering terms and practices
Demonstrate proficiency with the latest AutoCAD software and procedures utilizing your background of an Associates or BS degree in AutoCAD (or related field or equivalent experience) and two (2) plus years of experience.
Demonstrate an intermediate understanding and application of the following technical skills:

SUMMARY
This role of the Senior Project Manager (Land Development) is responsible for the overall results of all Denver office Commercial Land Development project(s). The successful candidate will be accountable for project performance, ensuring quality control on deliverables, ability to develop relationships with new clients, and maintaining strong client relationships with existing clients through quality deliverables and professional service. This role provides direction and guidance to engineers and technicians assigned to the project manager's team. This role reports to the Land Development Business Unit Leader.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and external design partners
* Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects
* Coordinate all aspects of project life cycle, including clients/owners, design teams, internal staff and all other necessary resources
* Prepare and manage project schedules, project plans and project budgets
* Prepare project billing/invoices and follow up with clients to ensure timely receipt of payment
* Develop business relationships with new and existing clients
* Provide direction to technical staff on project issues and general engineering principles including Project Engineers, EIT's and Designers
* Actively participate in the career development of staff
* Be an ambassador for the Company at industry events and conferences
* Participate in new project interviews

This position will collaborate with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Accountability and Duties

Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
Prepares and computes, but not limited to due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
Assists in production of final construction drawings.
Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
Assists project managers as requested.
Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Attends client and public meetings- days or evenings.
Participates in business development efforts as requested.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

3+ years of experience, Passed FE, Strong Understanding of local governmental public and private development codes, AutoCAD Civil 3D experience

Project Engineer
to join our Transportation Team. This is an opportunity for you to join our fine group of respected professionals.
SUMMARY:
This role of Project Engineer is responsible for preparation of detailed design drawings and contract documents for urban highways, rural roadways, city streets, and site developments. Additionally, developing concepts, preliminary engineering, and final design for projects, including roadway geometrics, profile design, modeling, grading design, super elevation, traffic control, and signing and marking. Experience in drainage design, including pavement drainage, storm drain systems, retention basins, and culvert design is a plus.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Independently perform detailed transportation and land development design.
Coordinates with various disciplines of projects, including survey, drainage, utility, and traffic.
Prepare construction plans, technical specifications, technical studies and reports.
Prepare quantity take-offs and/or calculations and construction cost estimates.
Direct CAD designers and less experienced staff in the preparation and production of construction plans.
Provide quality reviews of own work and work by designers in accordance with Company's quality control program and processes.
Attend and participate in client meetings.
Assist in developing marketing proposals and statement of qualifications.
Assist in construction administration of projects, including reviewing and responding to contractor material submittals, RFI's, and change order requests.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications:

Demonstrate a strong knowledge in transportation design.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of transportation engineering principles.
Demonstrate competence in the use and application of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Connect/OpenRoads. Including but not limited to: horizontal and vertical control/geometry, incorporation and interpretation of survey data, roadway modeling, retention basin modeling, staking diagrams, cross sections, and earthwork calculations.
Ability to mentor and train CAD Designers and Engineers-in-Training.
Strong technical writing skills, and ability to convey engineering decisions and concepts to non-technical and technically based audiences.
Ability to work within a variety of team environments, including varying team sizes and personnel.
Prioritize and meet multiple deadlines.
Education and Experience:
Must have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, from an accredited college.
Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado OR be able to obtain a Colorado PE license within 6 months of employment.
Approximately 5-10 years of engineering experience.
Experience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation/InRoads, and/or Connect/OpenRoads preferred.
Experience working in ArcGIS preferred.
Experience with Public Works projects preferred.
LOCATION: This opportunity is in our Denver office location
COMPENSATION: Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 DOE. The expected salary range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The final agreed upon compensation is based on the successful candidate's individual education, qualifications, and experience.
