The Marketing Specialist role will help drive key business strategies through creative marketing solutions by working directly with the marketing team to execute a wide range of marketing processes and projects. The role will require interactions with a variety of stakeholders including the Leadership, Sales, Parts and Service Managers, client-facing employees, manufacturer representatives and all areas of marketing including vendors, agencies, photographers, designers and printers. The role will help produce and execute collateral, print ads, presentations, digital content, email marketing, events and lead generation campaigns. Perform duties of the dispatcher for Empire's assigned work area. Use discretion and judgment to solve client disputes and dispatch system problems. Professionally assist clients to enhance a positive service image within the department. Determine shipment, delivery, and pickup priorities. Oversee scheduling transport shipments and meet delivery commitments. Assist in the most efficient use of drivers and equipment. Maintain cost control for overtime and expenses. Maintain the proper mix of company and for hire trucks on the road at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversee dispatching of Empire trucks locally, statewide, branch-store and/or nationally for assigned work area. Assign tractors and trailers according to the type of load, point of origin, and destination. Oversee drivers' activities and offer assistance as needed. Manage Power Systems' projects after the sale has been closed through final completion. Manage procurement and execution through organized communication, scheduling and instructions. Prevent cost overrun and maintain the profit level projected for the project. Coordinate activities of Power Systems' departments and vendors involved in procurement, handling, assembly, fabrication, testing, delivery, invoicing, installation and start up of projects. Ensure accuracy, with assistance as appropriate, of all design-engineering specifications for allied equipment, procurement of allied products, accuracy of drawings, and assembly instructions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reviews customer specifications, proposal, and Bill of Materials to thoroughly understand the sales project details and to ensure all required information is present. Recommends changes, additions or deletions to satisfy customer requirements while maximizing project profitability. Creates, maintains, and completes electronic project record using internal Project Management software. Ensures that all important documentation and conversations related to the project are captured within the project record. Prepares Caterpillar engine orders for transmission to CAT or identifies the inventory unit which will fill the project engine requirements. Maintains communications with Sales Coordinator regarding engine order acceptance, any order problems, RTS, and scheduled arrival. Prepares Bill of Materials, purchase specifications, RFQs (Requests for Quote) and creates/issues Purchase Orders for all allied equipment required to outfit the engines to meet customer specifications. Prepares any and all necessary project timelines to establish material ordering, receiving, assembly, testing and delivery deadlines. Ensures Commercial Engineer prepares all required project submittals of equipment, as required by specification, to submit to customer/engineer for equipment approval. Assists in preparation of all necessary drawings, wiring diagrams, etc. for including in submittals. Obtains necessary allied/vendor cut sheets, drawings and diagrams, as necessary for submittal. Prepares and issues Service Instructions document for use by Service and Parts Departments. Provides all of the background and ambient application information, equipment application and configuration details of engine as ordered. Includes all assembly instructions for adding to or reconfiguring the engine for the application. Provides all necessary supporting documentation, drawings, copy of specification. Manages internal costs and review internal work orders for adherence to agreed upon costs. Acts as liaison to Engine Inventory Administrator for purposes of maintaining inventory and for preparing all customer invoices. Prepares all required Invoicing Cost Estimates at time of delivery to ensure project gross profit accuracy at time of customer invoice and communicate to Engine Inventory Administrator. Negotiates project additions for any equipment or installation service requirement, as necessary, which is not a part of the original specification or bid quotation. Process machine rentals from initial customer request to final billing. Maintain inventory records of machine status and location of machines. Promote rental equipment through constant customer contact. Assist Account Managers and Rental Territory Managers with their assigned accounts, helping to realize customer satisfaction and astonishment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Processes rental requests. Process machine rentals from initial customer request to final billing. Maintain inventory records of machine status and location of machines. Promote rental equipment through constant customer contact. Assist Account Managers and Rental Territory Managers with their assigned accounts, helping to realize customer satisfaction and astonishment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Processes rental requests. Reports customer rental problems to the Rental Manager as needed. Assists in generating equipment rentals with minimum discounting to insure machine rental. Maintains rental requests and communication with Empire stores, with particular emphasis on sister stores previously assigned. Maintains inventory records of machines. Maintains and update status in DBS on regular and continuous basis. Assists in purchase of new equipment. Knows Empire's product. Generates and distribute all customer rental charges including days rented, tire wear, transportation, abuse and neglect, and overtime. Handle customer-billing complaints. Maintains open communication with Sales Account Managers, Rental Territory Managers, and customers. Process rental through direct contact with customer or Empire facilitator. Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs miscellaneous staff functions. Takes after hours responsibility whenever needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or other contact at manager level or higher. Maintains a record of all phone calls through extensive use of phone logs provided by Rental Department. Maintains correct levels of inventory in attachment items for usage on current rental models. Dispatches Empire owned transport trucks for pick-up and delivery of Empire or customer owned machines. Assumes overall leadership and responsibility for performance of coordinator desk and coordinator position in general. Works within and promotes corporate values. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have interpersonal skills to cooperatively direct people and expedite machinery rental, lease, demonstration, and sales transactions. Must have in-depth and thorough product knowledge of the Caterpillar product line including model designations and equipment applications. Must have in-depth and thorough familiarity with rental/lease agreements, rental/lease billings as well as tire reports, damage reports, and purchase option agreements. Must have at least awareness if not relationships with rental customers and their operations. Must have sufficient math skills to calculate rates and rental amounts. Ability to perform clerical skills and type at least 30 words per minute. Ability to maintain consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English. 36 months minimum experience in Rental Industry or EM Rental with minimum 12 months working at EM Rental. In-depth and extensive knowledge of the Caterpillar product line. Proficiency in DBS, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word. Provide failure analysis and technical information support to the service department. Research and solve technical problems for Caterpillar and allied product line. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with Empire technical problem-solving personnel. Train technicians on troubleshooting techniques. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Research, analyze and correct product problems. Make decisions on the actions to take to solve product problems. Participate in factory engineer field visits. Inspect failed parts and consult as needed with the Technical Resources department. Create troubleshooting aids for specific products or systems. Resolve technical and repetitive problems. Counsel others on interpretation of CAT parts reusability guidelines. Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist others in using CAT failure analysis training. Perform scrap barrel analysis as needed. Assist with the design of in-the-field customer attachments. Minimize product liability by correct design and installation of customer attachments. Maintain mast technical files and technical information bulletins. Acquire blueprints as needed. Provide feedback internally to drive change sufficient to meet market demands. Provide valuable customer service solutions. Work within and promote corporate values. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be a motivated self-starter. Must have sufficient mechanical knowledge to understand scope of project. Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills. Ability to maintain consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Minimum 6 months related experience. Degree or working knowledge in Mechanical engineering. Must comprehend computer-based programs (SIS, SIMS etc.) Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English. Preferred 2 year experience with MineStar Products. This includes: Fleet, Site Aware, Command, Terrain for grading and loading troubleshooting. Application knowledge of Trimble GNSS products and related technology.
