Maintenance Technician Job in Southampton, PA
Summary:Responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, machinery and infrastructure as assigned by Plant Engineer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Effectively troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to identify issues and take necessary corrective actions.Inspect machinery, lubricate and make adjustments or repairs as needed.Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and ensure good operating conditions while optimizing equipment up time and ensure the safe and timely manufacture of products.Document preventative maintenance and repairs in equipment maintenance logs per maintenance department requirements.Perform facility maintenance as required.Participate in the installation of new equipment and physical structures as required. Operate shop equipment and tools as skill level will permit.Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends are required for the efficient operation of equipment of the facility or when emergencies arise.Support site housekeeping, safety programs or other related tasks and duties as assigned. Secure forklift, lift truck and scissor lift certifications within 90 days of employment.Follow proper safety rules and regulations throughout the facility using OSHA best practices. Report and safety concerns or issues to management immediately.
Requirements: Education and/or Experience:High school diploma or GED required Technical school certificate in mechanical, electrical systems or hydraulics a plus3+ years experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment Experience with plastic or silicone processing equipment Experience with building automation system (BAS) Essential Skills and Attributes:Work in a fast paced, flexible environment Self-motivated, does not need constant supervision Work well on a diverse team Ability to communicate effectively with management as well as other team members Understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams Knowledge and understanding of three phase and single phase power systems, electrical writing and control circuity.Basic computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
