As a Composite Technician B you will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Required tasks will include the fabrication of composites using various techniques and types of materials, composites integration, prototyping, painting, composites trimming and bonding, etc.

This position supports the Advanced Systems & Technologies (AS&T) division, which specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS / UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.
Essential Functions:

+ Performs all duties required to fabricate and integrate composite parts and assemblies. Tasks required may include:

+ Constructs wet layups and/or Pre-Pregs of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and/or Kevlar utilizing various methods such as compression molds, vacuum bagging, and compression bladders

+ Operates ovens to complete bonding cycle. Controls conditions of heat and time by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications for the materials and the bonding agents being used

+ Performs minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming

+ Bonds a variety of materials (composite, metal, or laminate) to parts, components, assemblies, equipment or structures to complete semi-finished or finished products

+ Documents new processes, recommends updates for existing processes, and reviews drawings in support of engineering

+ Designs and utilizes new templates to be cut out on a laser table or CNC cutting table

+ Monitors and verifies quality of finished product. Measures parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions

+ Able to obtain and maintain DoD clearance and additional clearances as required

+ Other duties as required

+ High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years' experience in aviation maintenance / manufacturing, at least 0 - 1 years of which is in composites fabrication, or;

+ Secondary education with at least 0 - 1 years of composite fabrication experience

+ Familiarity with various shop equipment including cutting/grinding tools, composite curing ovens, manual mills and lathes, table saw, band saws, etc.

+ With guidance displays the ability to read and understand drawings, procedures, and/or schedules

+ Knowledge and understanding of product quality processes

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Answers telephone, makes appointments, and provides administrative support in orthopedic department.

Performs other related duties as directed.

Communicates relevant patient information to the provider and healthcare team to ensure effective care flow.

Basic Qualifications:


+ Two (2) years of experience as an orthopedic cast technician, OR completion of a training course as a medical corpsman, OR completion of the Kaiser Permanente sponsored cross training program with successful documented demonstration of identified competencies required.


+ High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, Registration

+ BLS certification required (AHA).

+ Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Maryland required.

Additional Requirements:

+ Annual training in radiation safety required.

+ Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.

What you'll do:

Perform preventative maintenance on our auto rental fleet vehicles including oil, fluid and tire changes, repairs and rotations. Depending on your technical expertise, you may be assigned basic repairs or assist our more experienced auto mechanics with more complicated repairs. This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone looking to expand upon their natural automotive or mechanical abilities.

Whether you have recently graduated from a tech school or have past experience as a tire and lube technician, mechanic in the automotive industry, or have worked in a manufacturing, warehouse or auto garage environment, this job might be a great fit for you.

What we're looking for:

+ Proven mechanical aptitude and skillset in car maintenance

+ Valid driver's license and a good driving record

+ Willingness to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner

+ Ability to accurately document repairs

+ Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends

+ Willingness to work in a mechanical shop environment with moderate to loud noise level

+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

In manufacturing facilities, a die setter is primarily in charge of setting up machines and equipment, selecting and utilizing various tools, preparing molds, gathering measurements and analyzing data, keeping records, monitoring the operations of machinery, and processing products according to protocols. They may also conduct regular maintenance checks, troubleshoot errors, perform basic repairs or adjustments, and produce regular reports for managers.
