Carry out needs of production by following Standard Operational Procedures for die casting, quality inspections, and maintaining the performance of the die cast machine
Scope of Responsibilities:
Responsible for achieving daily production targets and ensure part quality meets customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Demonstrates all essential Duties & Responsibilities in Die Casting
Start up and shut down die casting machines
Trim parts using a wire wheel, hand file, or other hand tools
Maintain the performance of the die cast machine by connecting water hose to cooling system, preheat dies using a torch or electric heater, clean inside of die and pit area, replacing ladles, cleaning, and maintaining 5s
Performing inspection of cast parts: Visual and with quality gauges.
Move baskets with a powered pallet jack.
Independently performs Q-time Checks to standards.
Understand part flow within process and can identify abnormal process condition.
Complete AGSS process loading, tag printing, and inputs NG scrap parts into AGSS system.
Fill out Daily Production Reports. Ensure downtime issues are recorded with description and correct downtime code. Also, records reject quantity and description.
Transfer Daily Production Report information to Production Board.
Completes segregation, follows Standard Segregation Procedure when abnormal condition creates non-conforming products.
Perform safety device systems, perform equipment safety checks, and follow lock out procedure. Follow Stop, Call, Wait
Maintains good housekeeping
Physical aspects of Die Casting:
Able to stand in one place
Able to stand for 8 hours
Able to lift at least 35 pounds repetitively
Able to bend, twist, and repeat repetitive motion

Fort Recovery Industries is currently seeking a Die Maintenance Technician on 2nd and 3rd shift.
Shift times run 2:30pm - 10:50pm and 10:30pm-6:50am and a $1.25/hr shift premium applies to both shifts.
What will you do as a die maintenance technician at Ft. Recovery Industries? Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist with the daily maintenance and repair of dies
Utilize an overhead crane to transport dies to/from presses and storage
Evaluate sources of problems or root cause with equipment and systems, troubleshoot and resolve reoccurring issues.
Die Maintenance Technicians are eligible for the Company's internal die maintenance training program. This program has online and hands on training tailored to the role. No prior experience is required but prior hands on mechanical background is helpful! Engaging in this program can help you earn up to $28/hour.

Job Responsibilities:
The Die Cast Technician will be responsible for operating and maintaining die casting equipment, ensuring the production of high-quality zinc castings. The technician will also be responsible for operating fork lifts to transport materials and finished products. Additionally, the technician will need to have a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as experience with pneumatics and hydraulics. Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as the technician will need to work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production processes.
