Fort Recovery Industries is currently seeking a Die Maintenance Technician on 3rd shift. Shift time runs 10:30pm-6:50am and a $1.25/hr shift premium applies. What will you do as a die maintenance technician at Ft. Recovery Industries? Duties include but are not limited to: Assist with the daily maintenance and repair of dies Utilize an overhead crane to transport dies to/from presses and storage Evaluate sources of problems or root cause with equipment and systems, troubleshoot and resolve reoccurring issues. Die Maintenance Technicians are eligible for the Company's internal die maintenance training program. This program has online and hands on training tailored to the role. Under the direct supervision of the Press Area Manager, is responsible for complete operation of a transfer press, including changeovers and the identification of improvements. Requirements: Die Set Technicians must perform coursework to complete Press Training Program to a Level 2 at a minimum. Level 3 training is recommended, but not a requirement to hold a position as a Die Set Technician. Maintain and attendance point level no higher than 10 points. Previous Stamping Press experience preferred.

JOB TITLE: SLI Casting Operator DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing JOB SUMMARY: The SLI Casting Operator position is responsible for routinely participating and completing equipment set-up and changeovers. This position operates the equipment to produce alloyed grids and ensures produced parts meet specifications and quality characteristics. This is considered a special skills position, and the successful casting operator needs to meet the required education, training and experience and also have dependable work performance, and reliable attendance. The SLI Casting Operator interacts and works closely with the production shift supervisor and other members on the production floor. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and practice safety and environmental rules. Is responsible for: Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions Identifying and reporting product, process, and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel. Controlling nonconforming products Supporting implementation of corrective/preventive and improvement actions Train new hires as needed. Set up, shut down, monitor and control machine operations and change or correct settings to keep operations within specifications. Responsible for producing alloyed grids which are the conductive structure within the battery. Ability to identify and control non-conforming products. Performs mold, ladle, and trip die changeovers. Prepares molds for production- automobile paint style spray coating. Performs SPC checks on parts for weight and thickness. Responsible for palletizing produced parts in the correct form, label product and material correctly. Store products properly. Inspects produced parts for adherence to quality characteristics. Responsible for performing light equipment maintenance or part replacement as needed. Responsible for troubleshooting mechanical equipment for proper operation and timing. Responsible for day-to-day housekeeping of the production floor and surrounding area. Be able to perform daily paperwork and record keeping. Overtime as required. Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives. The technician will also be responsible for operating fork lifts to transport materials and finished products. Additionally, the technician will need to have a strong understanding of electrical systems, as well as experience with pneumatics and hydraulics. Carry out needs of production by following Standard Operational Procedures for die casting, quality inspections, and maintaining the performance of the die cast machine Scope of Responsibilities: Responsible for achieving daily production targets and ensure part quality meets customer requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Demonstrates all essential Duties & Responsibilities in Die Casting Start up and shut down die casting machines Trim parts using a wire wheel, hand file, or other hand tools Maintain the performance of the die cast machine by connecting water hose to cooling system, preheat dies using a torch or electric heater, clean inside of die and pit area, replacing ladles, cleaning, and maintaining 5s Performing inspection of cast parts: Visual and with quality gauges. Move baskets with a powered pallet jack. Independently performs Q-time Checks to standards. Understand part flow within process and can identify abnormal process condition. Complete AGSS process loading, tag printing, and inputs NG scrap parts into AGSS system. Fill out Daily Production Reports. Ensure downtime issues are recorded with description and correct downtime code. Also, records reject quantity and description. Transfer Daily Production Report information to Production Board. Completes segregation, follows Standard Segregation Procedure when abnormal condition creates non-conforming products. Perform safety device systems, perform equipment safety checks, and follow lock out procedure.
