Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced, committed and passionate DieCuttingOperator to join our great team. The ideal candidate will have general knowledge of printing and operated as a diecutting pressman. The person will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, monitoring, and operating a diecutting machine: dismantle previous job, log impressions on saved jobs with date, press and chase number, or dispose of dies as marked, pull samples and glue set to check for accuracy, according to the specifications. The DieCuttingOperator will focus on continuously checking for accuracy and quality, monitor the machine, and correct problems. The person will be responsible for the quality of the diecutting of finished products.
About the Role
As our DieCuttingOperator, you will:
Adjusts and operatesdiecutting machine preparing all processes required (ex. Stripping, blanking).
Maintains and performs minor repairs on equipment.
Ensures total quality of the job while in operation.
Works in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates teamwork spirit.
Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
About You:
You're a fit for the role of DieCuttingOperator, if your background includes:
Previous experience as a DieCuttingOperator or DieCutting Pressman in the printing, packaging, or folding carton industry.
Hands-on experience with steel rule dies, counter plates, make-ready materials, and stripping/blanking tools.
Strong understanding of paperboard substrates (SBS, CCNB, Kraft, etc.) and how they affect cutting, scoring, and creasing.
Ability to read and interpret job tickets, CAD layouts, die lines, and quality specifications.
Proven ability to complete accurate make-readies with minimal supervision.
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills with diecutting equipment.
Familiarity with Bobst, Heidelberg, or similar equipment (preferred).
Solid math skills and ability to measure tight tolerances.
Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a manufacturing environment.
A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic.

**Role**
+ In accordance with company policies and procedures, work to ensure quality cartons are produced, machine speeds and customer standards are maintained safely.
**Responsibilities**
+ Knowledge and experience with operating Bobst DieCutters 145 and 162.
+ Responsible for press make ready: adjust press to accommodate for new product sheets being cut (set feeder, lock up die, set stripper, blanker, and delivery).
+ Be able to set guides, feeders and load dies (weighing approx. 150 lbs.) into cutting press with assistance.
+ Inspect quality of each load run: responsible for checking random sheets from each cut load to ensure high quality standards.
+ When cutting problems are encountered, the Operator is to flag and isolate poorly produced materials (all defective loads are to be tagged).
+ Operator is to make proper corrections before continuing the order.
+ Must be able to perform Pre-Make ready and Die-Prep duties
+ Maintain written records of production. Records of waste, production time, waiting time etc. are to be kept.
+ Responsible for running diecutter as efficiently as possible and perform preventative maintenance (PM) on all cutters.
+ Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
+ Verification of materials running on load.
+ Assist in training and orientation of new operators/operator trainees assigned to the machine center.

Position Description:
An EDM operator is needed to operate the sinker/wire EDM machines. This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Thursday 5:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Essential Responsibilities:
Change and set electrodes
Read micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparator
Read blueprints
Identify visual defects
Use and check various fixtures
Identify alarm codes
Start and stop machine
Identify and correct machine operational problems
Know and understand the ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Nadcap procedures and requirements
Perform daily maintenance using a checklist
Verify settings for special process approvals
Communicate any questions and verify completeness and accuracy
Understand, use, and follow work instructions
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
Sinker EDM experience; preferred
Machining experience a plus
Strong Mechanical aptitude
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Team player

ABOUT THE ROLE
This position directly reports to the various quarry supervisors. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and individual works as a team member. Primary responsibilities include assisting in production functions and maintenance.
