Job DescriptionSalary: $18.24/ hour, plus $0.40 shift premium

Sheboygan Paper Box Company has an opportunity available to a motivated individual as a Die Cutter Make Ready Technician/Die Maker on 2nd shift. Hours are 2pm to 10pm. The individual must have the ability to read and interpret instructions, have good communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Machine set up preferred
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn all duties associated with the position.
  • Able to work independently and on teams while demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and data entry.
  • Able to lift to 50-60 lbs. frequently
  • Must be detailed orientated

Job Summary:

Job Description:

  • Work from engineering drawings to lay out the design on the raw material then cut it to size and shape using manually controlled machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig grinders), power tools (such as die grinders and rotary tools), and hand tools (such as files and honing stones). Will work independently on projects.
  • Assist Production thorough communication concerning Tool issues.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing results with accuracy and timeliness.
  • May be called upon to assist in other duties as needed to ensure quality level of facility activities.
  • Responsible for all customer specific requirements where applicable, including those referenced in Quality manuals.

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years Tool Maker/Machinist.
  • Experience reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience in carbide dies preferred highly preferred.
