Summary for Die Setter:
- Properly set up and operate Multi-action molding presses to produce a quality product, including understanding machine safety procedures.
- Tool design capabilities: What collets, Backers, Riser, Tool lengths, Mold blocks that would be required to setup a job.
- Cincinnati Press experience preferred
- Use appropriate product and materials processing and handling methods in accordance with control plans and other specific instructions.
- Properly use and care for measuring equipment.
- Measure product and record (using computerized SPC system or other recording method) and react to in process inspection results using SPC and other process monitoring methods.
Responsibilities of Die Setter:
- Set up and operate equipment as assigned.
- Preform and assist in preventative maintenance activities as assigned.
- Wear PPE in designated areas.
- Perform inspections and basic quality measurements.
- Willing to learn set-up skills.
- Capable of working with little supervision.

Aerotek die setter job description
• Responsible for all mold changes done per the production schedule and all emergency mold changes.
• Responsible for the proper set-up of all molds and related functions such as watering of the mold, knockout, hot runner set-up, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Set parameters of the molding press to the process verification sheet if applicable.
• Repair any fluid or air leaks relating to the mold.
• Responsible for the pulling and resetting of all mold halves, specifically for the purpose of mold repair.
• Responsible for the loading and unloading of all mold carrying trucks.
• Responsible for the installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment from the molding floor.
• Maintain the orderly appearance of the mold storage area.
• Responsible for the orderly appearance of all mold-setting supplies including the removal of all supplies from the molding machine and immediate area.
• Responsible for returning the "Red Book" to the Quality area, at the removal of the mold from the press.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed, submitted and filed in a timely manner
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, Level II procedures, etc.)
• Comply with of all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**
MUST HAVES:
-Injection Mold Die Setting at least Two years (understanding how to disconnect and reconnect water lines)
-Overhead crane exp
-Molds tonnages up to 2000 tons (Don't disqualify small press exp - if someone had 750 tons they could work with that)
-Ability to do simple math; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Also, the ability to add positive and negative numbers
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
-The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is often required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus

Establish and maintain communication with other team members and support departments

Assume Press Team Leader and/or Press Operator duties when required
Supply tool room with necessary dies
Continually organize die and coil storage area
Support and assist operations during changeovers.
Perform other duties as required.
