Troubleshoot PLC programming errors and adjust existing programs as needed. Perform regular checks on all building equipment such as sprinkler system, acetator pumps, boilers, compressors, and power systems as required. Work closely with production personnel or service technicians on equipment repairs. Lay out circuits and install electrical wiring systems to handle required loads for various parts of the plant, run lines, make connections, install proper safety devices, and provide for necessary outlets and switches. Install and hook-up production equipment, exercising care as to size of motors, voltage requirements and balance circuits for proper power distribution. Maintain all related records and logs in the preventative maintenance system. Maintain plant water treatment system and equipment, take samples as scheduled and make adjustments as needed. Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts. Coordinate with outside contractors and manage day-to-day progress on projects as required. Follow all safety rules to include but not limited to LOTO and keep area clean and in orderly condition. Responsible for food product quality and safety. Experience with lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders, hand power tools, micrometers, calipers, forklift, welding equipment, measuring tools and a variety of hand tools. Ability to organize and prioritize task to ensure accuracy and timely completion. Advanced computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel. Must be able to perform on-call duty on any shift and work overtime on short notice basis. Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may be required to maintain manufacturing processes. Treat all guests, visitors & dealership personnel with the utmost respect & courtesy. * Strictly adhere to manufacturer policies & procedures as they relate to labor operations, time & repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs & torque specs. * Provide the administrative assistance necessary to complete warranty repair orders & other tasks assigned by management or required by the warranty administrator. * Update repair advocate & case files throughout the day & at the end of your shift. * Update Service Supervisor prior to the end of the shift the status of the repair. Return the work order packet with the keys inside at the end of your shift. * Check OEM website for components or repairs requiring pre-approval. Provide ECM image & OEM documentation completely filled out & included in the work order jacket. * Tag all warranty cores with VIN number & RO number & have the work order signed when the cores are turned in by the Warranty Administrator or Service Foreman. * Complete all technical training & OEM educational requirements in the specified timeframe. * Produce quality work that paints pride of workmanship. Operate a cardboard baler and stretch wrap machine Operate an independent bander and use a set of calipers to measure tile. Maintain 5S and TPMs up to date and filled out. Run loader and unloader (B&T) lines #1 and #2 on Sorter. Reset hoppers when full and replace lines #1 and #2 on Sorter. Put boxes in the line. Dispose of cardboard and put in bailer, emptying bailer when needed. Work on Kaizen for continuous improvement. Complete tasks from the Gemba board and use Gemba to effectively communicate issues. Maintain ongoing log of repairs and any repairs that need to be done in the future. Work closely with Stockroom for parts locations and availability, adhering to stockroom procedures. Completing task items put on the Gemba boards. Maintain accurate records. Adhere to company policies and procedures. Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace. Perform scheduled PM's on all Sorting Dept equipment: B&T Loaders, Calibers, Stackers, Boxers, Palletizers, Banders, Labelers, and Line Conveyors. Maintain accurate records of parts and materials used for PM's. Perform any other duties that may be required or assigned. Your Role as a Service Technician: As a Service Technician at Tire Discounters, you'll perform various automotive services, including tire installation and maintenance, steering and suspension, alignments, brakes, engine diagnostic, drivability, and preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance services. You'll be key to ensuring the success of daily operations at your location. What You'll Do: * Provides accurate and timely quality vehicle inspection, maintenance and repairs, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded. * Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety. * Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area. * Foster a collaborative team environment and assist as needed. Your Skills & Qualifications: * 2+ years of automotive repair experience (ASE certifications preferred but not required). * Must have own tools (tool purchase program available). * Ability to operate automotive vehicle lifts, shop tools and equipment (diagnostic scanner experience a plus). * Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs. * Valid driver's license and availability to work Saturdays. * Comfortable with occasional exposure to mechanical hazards and outdoor conditions. * Authorized to work in the USA (18+).
