Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Removal of interior components. • Removal of engine and drive train components. • Preparation of vehicle for outer skin inspection by removing all body plugs, clips, and other components. • Clean vehicle for evaluation. • Disassemble vehicle components (hood, doors, trunk, etc.). • Drill out spot welds, cut laser welds and disassemble each individual body panel. • Must be able to perform heavy lifting and perform work such as tire changes, transmission removal etc. • Package and store body panels for evaluation. • As assigned drive Corrosion vehicles on a rotational basis, to mitigate risk for injury due to repetitive motion. • Perform other duties as requested or required by management. Knowledge of vehicle components, systems, and operating procedures. Basic computer knowledge. Minimum of four (4) years licensed driving experience with the ability to obtain minimum of “D” level track certification. Ability to obtain forklift certification. Must be able to drive a manual as well as an automatic transmission. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift to 80 pounds. Job requires standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis. Must be available to work overtime, weekends and holidays. Ability to pass a drug screen and Physical required.
