**Fleet DieselMechanic II - Miami FL** **The Fleet DieselMechanic II** will perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans and forklifts as directed by Fleet Manager and Lead Technician. This individual also disassembles and overhauls motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends and electrical systems.
**Schedule and Shift:** This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday from 5am until finish. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays is required as scheduled.
**Position Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and repair fleet equipment and perform preventative maintenance.
+ Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary.
+ Adhere to OSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory compliance standards. Respond to service calls.
+ Complete all necessary documents, including vehicle records.
+ Maintain cleanliness in areas of work and tools.
+ Maintain records of daily check list (pre-trip inspections).
+ Pick up and deliver vehicles.
+ Manage ordering and inventory of parts.
+ Perform assigned duties in a safe and productive manner.
+ Follow the direction of Fleet Supervisor/Manager and Lead Technician.
+ Input data accurately and in a timely manner into the fleet maintenance software program (SAP EAM).
+ The training and experience that comes from the following certifications may be utilized as part of the position responsibilities

DUTIES:
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of truck equipment including, but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including, but not limited to the following: Electrical/Brake/Cooling Systems, Starters/Alternators, Air conditioning systems, Fan clutches, Engine electronics, Diesel steering systems, Engines (gas and diesel), Transmissions (manual and automatic), Clutches, Differentials, etc.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and to ensure that they are working properly.
Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives.
Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections of vehicle.
Work with and listen effectively to clients and customers to assess their needs, providing information or assistance, resolving their problems, or satisfying their expectations.
Manage concurrent assigned tasks, making effective judgments as to prioritizing work related activities and time allocations.

Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders (“RO”) using company-issued iOS device and our proprietary TRAIT application.
Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule.
Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times.
Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.
Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes.
Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
Maintain company issued service truck, conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections.
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years' experience in a related field.
Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required.
Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older.
Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required. Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver's license, be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.

DUTIES:

Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and to ensure that they are working properly.

Independently manage parts inventory and equipment provided on company-issued service truck and perform periodic reconciliation.
Maintain and operate company-issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre-/post-trip inspections of vehicle.

Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.
Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule.
Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times.
Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed.
Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes.
Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT.
Maintain company issued service truck, conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections.
REQUIREMENTS:

This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required.

Responsibilities
As a Mobile Equipment Technician, you'll take ownership of diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of general construction equipment, aerial lifts, and dirt equipment. Working independently, you'll bring expertise, safety, and professionalism to every task, ensuring equipment runs at peak performance for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing advanced maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems

Qualifications What We're Looking For
5+ years of hands-on experience as a technician repairing and maintaining construction equipment (aerial equipment experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems with the ability to read schematics/diagrams
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and advanced repair techniques
A self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and demonstrates teamwork in a collaborative shop environment

Conduct Terminating Service maintenance checks per the KA General Maintenance Manual at least every 50 flight hours.
Accomplish all required servicing of the aircraft, including wheel and brake replacement, engine oil servicing, replacing burnt-out light bulbs, wiping down struts, etc.
Troubleshoot and repair defects discovered and complete all return to service paperwork completely and on a timely basis.
Forward copies of repair information to Maintenance Control as work is completed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. This position reports to the Service Supervisor from whom work assignments are received. Parts are requisitioned and reports are submitted through that office. Since some of the service calls are because of incumbent's contacts or solicitations, the Field Service Mechanic is required to keep his supervisor informed of his activities and any change in his schedule. Servicemen are usually assigned to a territory but are called upon to assist in other areas as required. Some may not be attached, but “float” on special assignments or to fill in as needed.
This “Service after Sales” contact helps to enhance the company image and reputation in the field and directly affects repeat sales. The incumbent develops a personal relationship with the customer and establishes a source for service and parts, showing a positive and concerned interest in customer needs evidenced as follows: (a) upon delivery of a machine - assembling, if necessary, performing inspections, training operator in machine operation, its functions and capabilities, setting forth warranty and maintenance requirements; (b) making routine calls as time permits; (c) performing prompt and satisfactory repair or replacement service; (d) correct reporting of time, parts, travel, etc., to assure correct billing.
The above accountabilities require some vocational training and formal schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair. The position calls for considerable experience as a general mechanic and additional experience in welding, hydraulics, and diesel engine repair. Some of this training and experience may be acquired at TMW, to gain familiarity with the product, its parts, and assemblies, its literature, and the company policies affecting warranty. The incumbent is called upon to interpret blueprints, wiring and hydraulic diagrams, parts catalogs, lubrication charts and repair manuals. He must show versatility and ingenuity to get the machinery operating in the least possible time. Customer satisfaction is the goal.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Consults with Service Supervisor to plan effective work and travel schedule, giving priority to customer need, considering location of machine and availability of parts.
Diagnoses malfunctions: repairs and/or replaces worn and defective parts; installs new assemblies, adjusts devices and controls - to correct malfunctions and to keep machines in operating condition.
Provides tools and parts and arranges for facilities to perform repair work (usually on customer premises).
Inspects, operates, and tests machines upon initial delivery, at specified inspection intervals and upon completion of any repair work to ensure proper functioning of equipment and its components.
Reports to Service Supervisor such information as name of customer, description of machine, nature of malfunction, the time involved in working, driving, and waiting, mileage, etc., so that proper accounts can be charged, and proper billing can be made.
Strives to increase technical skills through attendance at company-sponsored vocational schools, annual training meeting of departmental personnel and reading of technical literature.
Promotes and enhances the company image by maintaining a neat, personal appearance and by keeping the service truck in a clean, polished, and orderly condition.
Experienced or advanced servicemen are expected to serve as troubleshooters on recurring or unusual problems, conferring with Engineering, Manufacturing, and other service personnel to resolve.
Experienced or advanced servicemen will be expected to train new servicemen or to supervise a team of servicemen in the assembling or servicing of large units or in a joint effort on large repair jobs.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
This job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and the capability of lifting 50 pounds.
Incumbent must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record, since employee will be driving company owned vehicle and will be covered under corporate insurance which has strict coverage requirements.
Incumbents will be required on occasion to stay overnight at out-of-town locations.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical material.
Education and Experience:
Some vocational or formal schooling in hydraulics and diesel engine repair.
Three years on the job experience in dieselmechanics and hydraulics. Schooling in these fields could substitute for some of the job experience.
While it is not a requirement that the FSM pass the AWSD14 Welding Test, the incumbent is required to pass the tacker test. The FSM is encouraged to practice and improve welding skills to pass the AWSD14 Welding Test to be considered for future promotions.

Diesel mechanic job in Miami, FL
We are looking for a Diesel Truck Mechanic for our Miami/Fort Lauderdale Maintenance Shop. The Truck Mechanic is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the maintenance and repair of various types of mobile equipment in the Company's shop or on public roadways as necessary and maximizes equipment availability using efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies, and regulations for safe, environmentally sound maintenance activities.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Provide mechanical maintenance, including repairs and lubrication.
* Repair and maintain air brakes, vehicle air conditioning, and hydraulics.
* Repair and maintain truck electrical systems, i.e., 12v &/or 24 vdc.
* Report equipment breakdowns to generate work orders.
* Prepare work orders
* Keeps the equipment being operated, clean and safe.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* HS Diploma or Equivalent
* Have a current Commercial Driver's License, preferred.
* At least 2 to 5 years' experience as a dieselmechanic working on commercial trucks or manufacturing equipment or both.
* General knowledge of a trucks electrical system.
* General knowledge of air brakes and their components.
* Mobile AC repair and their components.
* General knowledge of hydraulic components.
* General knowledge of the drive line and suspension.
* Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
* Able to work 12 hr. plus shifts as needed.
* Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
Working Environment:
* Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb to heights of at least 50 feet frequently.
* Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
* Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
* Ability to work outdoors with exposure to high and low temperatures and other outdoor environmental conditions.
* Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and OT.
