Required
Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
Be a dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system trouble shooting, repair and aftermarket services for this fast-growing business.
Minimum of Eight (8) years Commercial and/or industrial, mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry and Industrial Petro-Chemical, or Data Center vertical environments. This includes Rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and/or ammonia / hydrocarbon system components.

Diesel mechanic job in Jacksonville, FL
Academy Bus is seeking a full-time DieselMechanic-Class A with hands-on supervisory skills for our Jacksonville, FL location. $2500 Sign on bonus. Pay Range: $28.00-$35.00 per hour. Pay rate will be based on candidate experience level. Responsibilities: Class A Diesel Bus Mechanic
Repair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour buses
Reconditioning, preventative and routine maintenance
Inspections and road tests
Warranty and repair documentation
Diagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as: brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.
Respond to road calls
Basic welding/fabrication
Class A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners.
Requirements: Diesel Bus Mechanic
7+ years of diesel engine maintenance
Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipment
Must have supervisory skills and experience
Proven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instruments
Must have own tools
Valid driver's license
Basic computer skills
CDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Pay Rate: $23.18
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough, accurate preventative maintenance inspections.
Following schedules, complete all required maintenance operations including lubrication, fluid changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotation.
With direction from the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, performs unscheduled maintenance as needed.
Performs complex operations including engine, electrical, fuel, brake, and exhaust repairs and field tests. This requires interpreting and working from drawings, specifications, and other technical materials.
Perform emergency roadside services as needed.
Inspection of equipment and diagnose mechanical defects.
Document repairs and parts on work orders completely and accurately
Maintain tools and workplaces so that conditions are neat and orderly.
Performs other duties as required.
Emergency conditions may require on call service calls, extended hours, or weekend work flexibility.
May, on occasion, be required to drive vans, buses, and vehicles to perform road tests etc.
Perform other duties as required.
Assist with maintaining cleanliness of assigned bus.
Occasionally attend field trips and special events to ensure passenger safety.
Qualifications:
1+ years' experience (C level) experience as dieselmechanic or mechanic
Accreditation from a school or certification program
Complete all training requirements
