Essential Functions of Shop Mechanic Helper
Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers. Perform annual/systematic 90 day and HM-183 inspections (trailers) on equipment as required. Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards.
Operate a yard truck to move trailers within the facility yard and the shop as needed.
Order and receive parts and supplies as needed.
Adheres to all established safety (OSHA) and environmental policies and standards to include identification, use, and proper procedures for handling or disposal of hazardous wastes.
Clean, organize and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements:
*Knowledge/ Skills/Education Required for shop mechanic:
High school diploma, completion of G.E.D., or equivalent vocational school.
Must possess at least 3 years of experience in the repair and service of trailers and medium-duty trucks.
Knowledge is mandatory of vehicle and equipment theory, principles, and repair relating to diesel engines, air, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

The Mechanic must be ok or a road mechanic with experience in working on heavy equipment. The ideal candidate should be able to troubleshoot broken machinery and identify issues such as battery problems, wiring faults, or leaks in the field. This mechanic should also have skills in welding, changing tracks on machines, and, most importantly, diagnosing equipment problems.
Adheres to all safety regulations and reports any violations to field supervision immediately.

This job is primarily responsible for the maintenance, inspection and repair of vehicles and heavy equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment at various locations and may involve working with outside parties on such responsibilities (e.g. auto shops, parts suppliers, tool rental suppliers, etc.).
In this job, you will:
Actual responsibilities will vary depending on daily needs and type of facility as well as experience level in role.
Fully participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
Perform all duties within compliance of OSHA, DOT, company safety, and environmental regulations; including wearing appropriate PPE for task being performed.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment; identify and replace worn and damaged parts.
Examine equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair adhering to inspection procedure checklist.
Perform diagnostic tests and analyze test results in order to correctly repair or replace components as needed.
Replace and/or repair engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems.
Check lighting system.
Review work orders and repairs done by third parties to insure quality of repairs performed.
Maintain and manage parts inventory.
Maintain detailed record of serviced equipment.
Maintain work area(s) and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
May work with manager to maintain and manage parts inventory.
Other duties as assigned.
Required - High school diploma or equivalent
Required - 3 years' experience as a technician/mechanic; including experience with troubleshooting, maintaining and repair of trucks and heavy equipment in an industrial setting.

Summary:
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of pipelines, equipment and performance of work associated with daily operation and maintenance of gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate compressor station or pump station equipment, plant facilities and pipeline facilities including: prime movers and compressors, valves, filters, separators, dehydrators, pumps, and auxiliary equipment in order to meet production and product throughput requirements in a reliable and efficient manner while in compliance with the Partnership's procedures and regulatory requirements
* Plan, organize, prioritize, communicate, and coordinate work with employees and contractors to validate the work is completed in a safe, timely, and effective manner
* Provide budgetary information, schedule work and outages, order materials, maintain inventory, and coordinate needed resources
* Interpret and utilize drawings, schematics, loading/pump curves, OEM manuals, and other technical resources in the performance of assigned work
* Effectively and safely use hand tools, power tools, and portable and mobile work equipment in hazardous, classified, and non-hazardous environments
* Utilize precision measurement equipment to determine dimensions and set operating equipment clearances and tolerances

Required Education:
