Job Description: We are seeking experienced Mechanical Wrenchers for our RiverRenew project in Alexandria, VA. SUMMARY Installation of mechanical piping and process equipment. Includes working within industrial facilities. Completing demolitions of existing facilities and process flows and installation of new mechanical systems process equipment. Experience with mechanical pipe installation (including ductile, flange, pvc, etc.), couplings, valves, pumps, pressure testing, instrumentation installation. Experience with assembling, installing, layout of piping systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Align pipes in pipeline sections according to specifications. 2. Flange Pipe make-up 3. Sweats Copper 4. Signals operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of pipes and process equipment. 5. Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods and/or transit levels. 6. Installation of interior PVC Piping, Thread Piping, in-line instrumentation 7. Assists others with hands-on work, including but not limited to, concrete, pipelaying and excavation 8. Works in a safe and responsible manner at all times. The Mechanic I is responsible for assisting with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, graders, and haul trucks. This role works under close supervision of senior mechanics and supervisors to develop technical skills and ensure the safe and efficient operation of company-owned equipment.
