As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III), you'll use your skills to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe and professional manner. What you'll do:
Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex rental equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
Assist in the training of lower level technicians as needed
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
Must own tools applicable to position
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
We are looking for a talented Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities may include:
* Diagnose incoming units, disassemble, repair, assemble, and prepare items for shipment
* Perform mechanical rebuilds on rotating apparatus repairs like electric motors, pumps, and fans
* Measure and record data using tables, dial indicators, micrometers, and vibration meters
* Use multi-meters, meggers, and Baker instruments and measure winding resistance, RTD and heater resistances, and mechanical fits and clearances
* Participate in daily operations discussions on customer products
Qualifications and Competencies:
* 1-5 years of AC/DC motor experience preferred
* Able to perform basic math functions
* Capability to diagnose and repair industrial electric motors, fans, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment
* Able to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures

What You Will Do
Product Definition Drafter in Hot Section Engineering (HSE). Candidate will have the opportunity to create/maintain parametric solid design models and associated drawings related to turbine airfoils. Create parametric 3D models and other definition files to Design intent and Product Definition standard work using UG NX graphics software. Produce part prints (using the UG NX graphics software) to Product Definition standard work which includes the application of dimensioning techniques per part family Engineering Standard Work while considering manufacturability and design intent.
Under minimal supervision, performs substantially varied and complex task.
Applies advanced skills to perform functions of the position within assigned area.
Adapts new procedures, techniques and tools to meet the high complex requirements of position.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals.
Understands key concepts in their discipline (PD ESW, GD&T, Unigraphics/Nx, Teamcenter/Nxmanager ,BCT Raster)
May periodically assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of other employees.

Apply and interpret part family specific Geometric Form Control to ASME Y14.5M/PWA79360 standards.

Perform Class I & II Engineering Changes including marked prints.

Job Conditions
This position is regularly exposed to all weather conditions. Physical hazards such as noise, fumes, and dirt are present due to the equipment, machinery, and scrap as would be found throughout the scrap yard. Safety shoes, hearing protection, respirators, and face shields must be worn to eliminate the risks associated with these hazards. Travel is not required for this position.
Handling multiple issues regarding safety and maintenance increases pressure. Work load may be unpredictable and pressure can be substantial during peak times. Critical deadlines require considerable adaptability. Disturbances of work flow and/or irregularities in work schedule are expected and occur on an intermittent basis. Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions

This position requires possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to drive an automobile.

Cape Air's A&P Mechanics work independently or as a team member performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance on company aircraft.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Familiar with the policies and procedures contained in company manuals, submits changes as appropriate to eliminate conflicts and/or enhance operational effectiveness
Comply with 14 CFR (as applicable), manufacturer's specifications, company policies and procedures, as well as other methods accepted by the FAA, when accomplishing maintenance
Assist with completion of shift turnover reports in accordance with company procedures
Participate in shift meetings and briefings as required
Update aircraft fleet status information for Company aircraft as directed
Conduct on-the-job training as assigned by the Base-Manager/Supervisor
Properly executes maintenance work records
Maintain the maintenance work area in a clean and orderly condition
Adhere to material handling and control procedures specified in company manuals and by the equipment manufacturers
Responsible to open and/or close facility
Perform aircraft run-ups and taxis
Perform road trips to repair aircraft at stations other than the maintenance base
Clean aircraft after completing maintenance
Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Current A&P certificate required
Must meet the recent experience requirements as stated in 14 CFR 65.83
Minimum two years professional aircraft maintenance work experience preferred
Must have basic mechanical skills
Must own basic set of aircraft maintenance tools
Must take instruction and guidance well
Must be goal oriented, have an exceptional attention to detail, and must work well in team situations and also as an individual
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
Must be able to perform moderately strenuous physical tasks which include bending, stooping, kneeling and working overhead for long periods of time
Must hold a valid US driver's license
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays
Must exhibit knowledge of Cape Air and embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit

What You Will Do
Product Definition Drafter in Hot Section Engineering (HSE). Candidate will have the opportunity to create/maintain parametric solid design models and associated drawings related to turbine airfoils. Create parametric 3D models and other definition files to Design intent and Product Definition standard work using UG NX graphics software. Produce part prints (using the UG NX graphics software) to Product Definition standard work which includes the application of dimensioning techniques per part family Engineering Standard Work while considering manufacturability and design intent.
