Reports to: Shop Supervisor Overview: Performs maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment at assigned shop with only general direction from leadership. Essential Duties: - Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment. - Work with others to perform, Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), and Overhauls. - Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities: Ability to: - Perform all essential duties. - Demonstrate proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations. - Show track record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) with no guidance. - Perform Major Maintenance (MM) and Overhauls as part of a team. - Demonstrate customer service skills. - Read, write and speak English and /or fully understand daily work instructions (work orders, manuals, etc). - Model all health, safety and environmental procedures. - Complete and submit company required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion. Knowledge: - Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, basic understanding of panel boards, skid wiring, etc. through Performance verification. - Knowledge of new technologies. - Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations. - Generally understands all processes and systems on how a compressor works. Minimum Education and Certification: - Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred - Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training. Minimum Experience: -Typically at least 3 years' experience with natural gas engines and compressor. Leadership: - May serve as a resource to others with less experience. - Often called on to assist in training or mentoring less experienced Shop Mechanics.
