What You'll Do:Promote Safety.

Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant in order to maximize performance and limit downtime.

Perform repairs to address problems when necessary.
Handle and Move Objects.
Handle, install, position, and move parts, materials, and industrial hand tools in a safe manner throughout the shop and plant.
Document and Record Information.
Ensure correct and accurate documentation is completed on a daily and monthly basis regarding all mobile equipment.
Enter and maintain service reports for all the mobile equipment in written or electronic form.
Operate Equipment.
Assist in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant when necessary in order to ensure production continues in an efficient manner.
Perform General Physical Activities.
Perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.

Performs minor or major repairs as necessary
Records damaged, worn, or broken parts

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe, sanitary and efficient condition. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to support production operations in a fast paced environment.
Remove and install bearings.
Repair gear boxes
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
Work on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)/ DC motors
Replace electrical motors
Trouble shoot electrical circuitry/MCC
Experience and working knowledge on the following voltages: 24 V. DC; 120 V: AC single phase; 208/240 single phase and 208/240/480 V. three phase.
Complete work orders in a timely manner to the highest quality standards.
Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
Readily available for emergency repairs in breakdown situations

The Heavy Equipment Maintenance Mechanic performs troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, welding, fabrication, and mechanical/electrical diagnostics to minimize downtime and support continuous production flow.
