Ideally, candidates will work year-round. During the non-construction season, work will be performed in our shop. During the construction season travel will be required. Requirements: Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota 2-year AAS degree in Diesel Technology 7+ years of training and experience in working on diesel engines Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A Acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to work cooperatively with others Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities Responsibilities: Analyzes operation of systems and components of heavy trucks and heavy construction equipment to determine performance using engineering specifications and test equipment. Inspects mechanical and electrical systems, diagnoses and repairs systems. Disassembles systems, examines parts for defects and excessive wear. Repairs or replaces defective parts, adjusts settings and reassembles according to specifications. Operates electronic testing equipment, precision instruments and gauges, hand tools, portable power tools, welding and cutting equipment and cranes and hoists. Welds and fabricates parts as needed. Performs other tasks as needed. Complies with Company Safety Program.
