Minimum requirements • 1 year of Truck or Heavy Equipment mechanic diagnosis (maintenance) experience is required. • 1 year of 12/24 volt electrical experience is required. • Ability to understand hydraulic and electrical schematics is required. • 1 Year Fabrication Experience is preferred. • 1 Year Welding experience preferred. • ASE certification is preferred. • Waste collection equipment knowledge will be a large plus for this position. Required License or Certification: Have a DOT (non-CDL) medical card or willingness to obtain within 90 days of employment. CDL preferred but not required. Main Duties & Responsibilities Primary Job Role Repairs or replaces defective parts on machinery/equipment. Disassembles components and properly clean parts. Inspects components to ensure maximum parts are being reused to control repair costs. Tests, diagnoses and adjusts failures of equipment. Creates repair estimates and submits information to substantiate quotes and estimates. Prepares all parts requisitions, time cards, or service reports, as requested by the supervisor.
