OCTA is seeking skilled Mechanics to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair CNG, hydrogen fuel cell, and battery-electric transit buses. Pay rate increases incrementally according to the union contract. Current top wage is $43.50 after 36 months. Repair Shop Maintenance: * Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment. * Cares for and maintains shop tools and equipment in line with industry standards for automobile, equipment, and heave machinery maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the upkeep and repair of shop tools, general housekeeping of assigned areas, and the inspection and documentation of building equipment and systems. Administration: * Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repair work, preventative maintenance schedules, and parts used in repairs. * Regularly and promptly input material and labor hours spent, along with technician notes, into the TMA system for work order execution. * Provide material lists and/or estimated labor hours required for specific tasks or assignments. * Attend training classes related to the positions and for professional development to expand mechanical knowledge and skillsets.
