Job Setting & Physical Demands

Responsibilities - Express Lane Technician:
Perform oil changes, tire rotations, balancing of tires, and battery testing
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
Make accurate use of the multi-point inspection form on each vehicle
Perform various Express Service repairs and maintenance such as brake pad replacement, alignments, Wynns flushes, basic tune-ups, shocks & struts, hoses, wheel bearings, and simple diagnostic work, and other entry-level repairs approved by service management.
Utilize product and technical training as assigned by the manufacturer and management
Take care to ensure that customer vehicles are returned to them in the same condition or better than when brought in
Ensure that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.
Check tire pressure and add air if needed.

Position requires long-term (up to 8+hours/day) ability for walking, standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. The candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including the ability to obtain the required certifications to operate such equipment, as necessary. Perform preventative maintenance on our auto rental fleet vehicles including oil, fluid and tire changes, repairs and rotations. Depending on your technical expertise, you may be assigned basic repairs or assist our more experienced auto mechanics with more complicated repairs. This is an excellent learning opportunity for someone looking to expand upon their natural automotive or mechanical abilities.
This is an entry level role and on the job training is provided
The primary purpose of the Tire and Lube Mechanic is to perform tire rotations and oil changes on all Hertz fleet vehicles.
Performs preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle safety
Responsible for maintaining appropriate paperwork and reports.
