EDUCATION: Completion of tenth grade (preferably completion of high school), including some courses in industrial arts and/or shop mechanics, supplemented by training equivalent to an apprenticeship in the trade. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid driver's license; NOTE: All APS employees authorized to drive APS vehicles are subject to either Omnibus Transportation Act drug and alcohol testing procedures (if required to possess a CDL) or the Arlington Public Schools Alcohol and Drug testing procedures (if CDL is no required). PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES: Possession of the strength and dexterity and fine and gross motor skills required to perform all essential functions, including lifting and carrying heavy objects; balancing self, materials and tools on high and/or slanted surfaces; assembling and disassembling scaffolds and equipment; and operating or utilizing all tools, equipment and vehicles.
