The Mechanic Coordinator partners closely with Operations and the District Manager to plan and execute daily maintenance activities that maximize asset availability and performance. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Support Lead, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians, providing daily supervision and on-the-job training. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Monitor performance and provide feedback to support technician development. Assist with technician scheduling and workflow planning to meet operational demands. Maintenance Planning & Execution Collaborate with the District Manager and operations team to align maintenance schedules with job requirements. Ensure accurate tracking of unit hours and compliance with preventative maintenance schedules. Oversee the execution of routine and corrective maintenance for Class 8 and off-highway equipment. Facilitate third-party repairs as needed and ensure proper documentation. Compliance & Quality Control Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company HS&E standards, and OEM guidelines. Review, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical standards. Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and support root cause analysis for equipment failures. Work on the shop floor as needed to maintain quality control and provide hands-on support. Inventory & Procurement Manage parts inventory to ensure adequate supply and minimize downtime. Work with procurement teams to source and track R&M parts. Monitor part usage and forecast future needs based on maintenance schedules. Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate equipment records and service documentation. Track maintenance activity and technician hours, and generate maintenance reports. Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. Perform other duties as assigned to support operational and organizational goals. Qualifications Qualifications Education & Experience Associate degree or technical training preferred. 5+ years of oilfield service or heavy equipment maintenance experience. Supervisory or lead technician experience required. Skills & Knowledge Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), PPE, and emergency response procedures. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in diagnostics and troubleshooting. Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems. Critical Tasks / Performance Goals Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills. Highly organized with excellent attention to detail. Analytical problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
