    AFO is looking for a Mechanic who can diagnose and repair simple and complex issues on heavy equipment, light equipment, automotive equipment and small engine equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks for our customer's equipment. The successful candidate will use necessary computer diagnostics equipment to assist in diagnosing and develop a cost-effective solution. The ideal applicant will have exceptional knowledge in heavy equipment and diesel engines. ASE Certifications are required. Responsibilities + Service, troubleshoot malfunctions and do repairs on a wide variety of equipment, ranging from bull dozers, buses, automotive, tactical army equipment to chainsaws and mowers. + Perform gas arc and tig welding procedures. + Diagnose using different types of computer diagnostic tools and software. + Follow recommendations from the technical manuals; follow checklist from the service manuals and record all corrective actions properly. + Operate machinery safely. + Must maintain a safe and clean work environment. Most work is done in the shop but must be capable of doing servicing/repairs on site in sometimes harsh weather conditions. + Must be able to work well with others.
