Responsibilities of the Senior Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to: * Receive, disassemble, inspect, repair, paint, package/prepare for shipment API centrifugal pumps as well as other related rotating equipment * Assist with training and developing Pump Mechanic personnel to ensure efficient use of manpower and compliance with customer requirements * Monitor progress of repairs and assign and guide shop personnel to complete those repairs * Serve as one of the most experienced tradesman in the shop * Set the positive leadership tone and behavior * Interact with customers in a positive way showing them how DXP cares about their business * Assist the Supervisor in the execution of all work Qualifications of the Senior Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to: * 10 + years of experience working in a pump repair shop facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment prepared * Experience repairing API/Engineered pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions * In-depth understanding of API 610, and other applicable standards * Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals * Disassembly, inspection, ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report to all necessary repairs and or replacement parts needed, Ex: assembly prep, assembly, pneumatic pressure testing of assembled equipment, painting of finished repair and final inspection * Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools * Experience with pneumatic and hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment * Ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing preferred * Ability to work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast paced environment. * Ability to achieve results with minimal supervision * Background check, physical, and drug test required #LI-JG1 #zrjg Additional Information: * Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. * Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise. * Training/Certifications: N/A * Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift and regular overtime * Travel: N/A * Education: High School Diploma or GED Location: USA:NV:Sparks DXP is always looking for individuals who want to join a team of employees who have the desire to achieve remarkable accomplishments together.
