Level I - Dining Mechanic Responsible for maintaining and installing dining equipment, completing service requests and preventive maintenance, ensuring safe work practices, coordinating with requestors, other shops, and subcontractors, and helping train student employees. Level II - Dining Mechanic Includes all Level I duties plus additional responsibilities such as training and onboarding new hires, coordinating equipment installation and repair timelines, overseeing building maintenance within assigned areas, managing inventory and shop cleanliness, assisting other crews, and coordinating subcontractors. What qualifies you for this role: Required: Level I * Two years of refrigeration experience or a two-year refrigeration certification from a technical school and the ability to get the EPA Certification to be able to handle the various refrigerants we use on campus. * Have a basic skill level and understanding of refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding food service equipment, ice machines, furnaces and sheet metal work. * The ability to maintain a good working relationship with all involved personnel, including treating others with respect and kindness. * Has a valid Utah Drivers' License * Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Very experienced in the reading of blueprints both electrical and mechanical and excellence in troubleshooting and repair of foodservice equipment and refrigeration. May require climbing and working from ladders or in awkward positions.
