Heavy Equipment Mechanic Pay rate: $25.00/hr -$35.00/hr (Based on experience and certifications) Travel: Regional- Must be able to travel to VA job sites when needed We are currently looking for a Field Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our Heavy Civil team at our Dinwiddie, VA Field Service Center. The Mechanic position is subject to travel throughout VA to our various job sites to support our operations teams. Job Title: Packaging Mechanic Overview: The Packaging Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations by performing setups and maintenance tasks on assigned production lines. This position requires in-depth knowledge of each component in a bottle packaging line, the correct setup, connection between components, and efficient completion of changeovers. Job Description Summary/Objective: The Mechanic is responsible for the proper repair and maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment and for the safe and proper care of equipment assigned to the mechanic. Essential Functions: Maintain and repair automotive vehicles (such as trucks, tractor-trailers, pickups, cars, heavy equipment, and mounted equipment such as mixers and hydraulic systems) and stationary equipment (such as air compressors, welding equipment, and miscellaneous equipment) to company standards; recognize failure symptoms, trouble shoot, inspect, repair or replace, reassemble and test.
