Job Summary: Maintains all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment throughout the plant and office safely and effectively, to meet organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Performs all maintenance, including but not limited to preventative, corrective, emergency, contracted, and warranty service on all equipment throughout the region. (3 different sites)
Identifies, repairs, and documents electrical and instrumentation equipment malfunctions. Discuss software problems in PLC for equipment operation and control with Facility Managers as required.
Conducts predictive analysis of all systems and equipment periodically to update the PM system.
Schedules services and planned repairs with the manager to accommodate routing schedules
Responsible for parts ordering and sourcing for parts related to repairs.
FMCSA Annual inspection and Air Brake Adjustment certified
Ensures completion of work orders based on schedule and priority or as required.
Flexible and able to move from task to task as needed and pending parts availability
Monitors equipment regularly and documents results. Maintains record keeping of all R&M performed on equipment.
Installs and tests of new equipment according to the manufacturer's recommendations and standard safety procedures.
Supports all company and corporate policies and procedures.
Performs any general work or other assignments necessary to ensure the facility's safe, clean, and efficient operation.
If there is no work, ask managers to assist where needed.
Works in extreme weather, heat, cold, and rain.
Capable of doing mobile repairs as well as in the shop
Communicates with drivers and operators about concerns with equipment
Proficient with diagnostic software
Able to diagnose and understand failures of parts
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, equipment, and commercial vehicles maintenance and operation.
Minimum 2 years of experience with hydraulic-powered units.
Experience in troubleshooting and repair of flow meters, PLCs, VFDs, transmitters, motors, switchgear, and other process control equipment. Ability to comprehend and interpret blueprint drawings and documents.
Possess knowledge required to monitor the performance of equipment.
Must understand all safety requirements and other communications.
If needed, you must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
You must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking frequently
Good sight and hearing to avoid hazards.
Must be able to communicate.
Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE, including, but not limited to seat belts, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and others as may be required by a hot/cold, industrial environment.
Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
