    US, a leading supplier of quality, construction building materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a Mobile Fleet Mechanic to support operations at the Asphalt plant located Clinton, MD. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed mechanical equipment. Responsible for keeping the equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; performing repairs when needed. This position typically works from 7:00pm - 7:00am Sunday thru Thursday. Generally the first 90 days of employment the selected candidate will be working morning shift. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING · Perform general overhaul, tune up and repair work on automobiles and related power driven equipment. · Inspect, adjust and replace necessary units and parts including cooling, fuel and exhaust components. · Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability. · Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner. · May fabricate and modify parts and equipment. · Repair engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, body repair and replacing parts and components. · Service machinery and mechanical equipment by completing repairs on engines, hydraulics systems, mobile and stationary equipment. · Provide routine inspections of vehicles · Keep an accurate log of all work performed. · Maintain and clean all garage equipment and tools to ensure equipment is kept in useable condition at all times. · Adhere to company work safety policies Requirements WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR · Education: High school diploma or equivalent · Must have own mechanical tools (Any specialty tools that are needed will be provided) · Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience performing the functions listed above in a construction, building materials, manufacturing or industrial environment. · Mechanical skills, physical strength, practical skills, problem solving orientation, and customer service abilities. · Proficient in hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic systems · Ability to prepare work estimates and quotes · Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance · Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail · Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills · Ability to work in all weather conditions without limitations. · Ability to lift 50lbs · Reliable transportation · Licenses Required: Valid Driving License · Good Driving Record · Welding skills highly desirable (CW,CW,CWE or CWRT) Additional Requirements: · Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. · Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
